Every box includes a folded info card.

The inside of the card provides details about each item and the retail values. I think it’s cool that they use a mark to indicate every item that is also vegan.

St. Tropica Hot Oil Hair Mask – 1.5 oz, Value $5

I actually just got another one of these hair masks in my Pampered Mommy September box! But I like it so I’m happy to have another. This hair mask is mostly made with virgin coconut oil, but also has organic biotin, hibiscus, green tea, coconut butter, among its other ingredients. To use this, you lay it flat in the microwave and heat it for 20 seconds before applying it to your hair. I already like using coconut oil for a hair mask, and I really enjoyed using this one, too! I noticed my hair was much softer and it smelled amazing, too.

Bellapierre Shimmer Powder, Earth – Value $15

This shimmer powder is made with 100% mica and is made to be completely hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive (and all) skin types. I really like this shadow – they were successful in creating a super pigmented shadow! I was definitely surprised when I began applying it to my lids. This shade is the color earth which is a very warm copper tone.

Bellpierre Eyeliner Duo – Value $25

This set from Bellapierre includes an all-natural, classic, super black liquid liner and a clear eyeliner formula that you can mix with Bellapierre’s shimmer powders to create an eyeliner of whatever color you want. I think you could also be able to mix it with any eyeshadow (especially loose ones), too.

I really like the black liner – it has a nice, opaque application and the formula didn’t run or bleed at all. I wore well, too, and I didn’t have any issues with it lasting all day. I haven’t tried the clear liner on my eye but it seemed to work well on my hand when I played with it for a minute to test.

benevolent-beauty-box-september-2016-lipstick

Ecco Bella FlowerColor Lipstick, Primrose – Value $19.95

This lipstick’s formula is created with a combination of vegetable waxes, oils, and mineral pigments. It’s supposed to be super hydrating without feathering, and I’m pleased to say that I found that to be true. The color also has a good amount of pigment and is buildable as well.

Tat2u Makeup Tat2Lash Mascara - Value $16

To be honest, I wasn’t impressed with this mascara. I think maybe it was the brush that I felt was most ineffective because the formula seemed to stay well all day. I didn’t feel like I could achieve much definition with this brush and I felt like I was just pressing it up against my lashes instead of being able to get up in between them to coat them.

Gypsy SOUL Apothecary “Sister Wind” – Value $19.99

This aromatherapy mist is meant to uplift and rejuvenate you with eucalyptus, spearmint, and basil. I love eucalyptus and spearmint but I’m just not a fan of the scent of basil. That being said I actually didn’t mind it too much in this mix! It’s pretty well-balanced, I think.

Here is a look where I am wearing the eyeshadow, mascara, black eyeliner, and lipstick.

I really love the color of this eyeshadow and I know I’ll be reaching for it a lot. This eyeliner is great, too, though I’m not personally used to this type of bottle/applicator for liquid liner (I’ve been using Kat Von D’s Tatoo Liner for years, which is like a pen with a brush tip) so it took some patience for me to get the feel of using this one. It let me get a nice kitten-wing and the formula was great so I’ll just have to practice with it!

Verdict: Benevolent Beauty is one of my top beauty boxes! I always find new products that I love and the quality and colors of items they send out are consistently fantastic. Plus, the value has been really great every time – this month adds up to $100.98 which is fantastic for a $30 box, and right around what I’m used to for this sub.

Dammit Haley, you always look so gorgeous in the pics you post! I need you to come to Richmond VA to teach me how to do my makeup, eye makeup specifically haha.

I love seeing more cruelty-free boxes. But I wish they wouldn’t push “all natural” since that basically is a salad or dressing for my face. I don’t want to smell oregano, basil, rosemary, etc in my facial and bath products. It’s possible to be cruelty-free and smell wonderful, so I look more for cruelty-free rather than all natural. All natural isn’t always a good thing so finding it all in a sub is hard. I’m also interested in what blur the below poster is talking about

HI Haley – I remember a while back you mentioned you work at Sephora and mentioned a blurring finishing powder for photos. Do you remember what that was?

Haley Faye

To elaborate, it’s really cool because it literally “blurs” light because the particles are round! The light is scattered and diffused bouncing off of them so it gives a blur look – I notice a difference in person but especially in selfies. 😉

awesome – thank you!

Jill – yes! I use the Make Up Forever HD Setting Powder daily. I hear ELF Cosmetics and NYX are supposed to have more budget-friendly dupes, but I haven’t tried them myself because this one container of the MUF powder has lasted me about 2 years now! You need so little. Hope that helps!

I’ve tried both of those dupes and like them a lot!
