Now, onto the items!
Bottega Organica Illuminate Eye Cream – Value $145
This eye cream is made with all organic and natural ingredients:
This powerful and effective anti-aging eye cream is formulated to brighten, de-puff and diminish fine lines and wrinkles. Cucumber and horse chestnut revitalize the eye contour while rosemary enhances skin elasticity. Arnica and coneflower stimulate healthy skin renewal while prawn sage exerts its powerful anti-aging activity. Wild carrots, high in antioxidants and vitamins are vital for skin repair.
It’s described as having a fresh, grassy scent. I didn’t get that scent. Unfortunately, it smelled a little more clinical to me. But that scent disappeared quickly, so it wasn’t an issue. The formula absorbed quickly, and felt gentle on my skin, too. (My undereye area is particularly sensitive, so that’s a big win.)
Bottega Organica Lemon Cleansing Face Oil – Value $12
Unlike the eye cream, this oil smells AMAZING! I love the citrus lemon scent. The first ingredient is lemon peel oil, so the scent is intense and refreshing. To use this oil, you apply a few drops to dry skin, massage, then remove with a damp cloth.
Verdict: This month’s Beauty Heroes box has a value of $157. I think that’s great for the cost. And being able to try this pricey eye cream at a deep discount is awesome. When I get tiny samples of skincare products in boxes, I often can’t tell if the formula makes a difference in my skin before the sample is all gone. So, I really appreciate full-size skincare products in subscription boxes!)
And as always, I’m impressed that Beauty Heroes consistently exposes me to new natural and organic beauty brands, and it’s great to try out a full-size item and you don’t have to worry about product overload either!
