I ordered one for my niece to open the standard way and one for myself to open all at once.

Once I received the packages, I noticed that there really is no way to remove a individual pair (opening one a day) without removing the entire cardboard that holds all of the earrings.

Just wanted others to be aware if giving these as gifts. Either the recipient has to open the doors and not use any until the 12th day, or take out the full cardboard sheet to view/remove them all.

Are the earrings nice? I guess my idea to have a party and pass the calendar around will still work just fine. Everyone gets to see their earrings and then at the end they get to have them!

Yes, they are cute – all very tiny stud-types. No dangles. My niece is pre-teen and these are very dainty, will be perfect for her.

It says buy 1 get 1 half off now. I think I’m definitely getting these, so cute!

Tried using the code and it says that it is expired.

I bought one using the Halloween 25% discount. Even after factoring the cost of tax and shipping the earrings come out to just $2 a piece. I’m thinking this would make a great game for a pre christmas party with the girls. I have a box of cloth facial masks, and foot masks, and I can see passing the box around with each person opening the doors in order.

Tempted by this one… No piercings myself, but would make fun gifts. I’d like to get the best price, though.

With the 25% off code, 2 calendars plus $7 shipping comes to $36.93 ($39.03 after tax). That’s $18.47 (or $19.52) for each calendar. I wish I had free shipping or even a 30% off code. I signed up for their emails today, so we’ll see if I get any good offers in time.

They also have them in stock at my local AE, but I need to find some sort of in-store discount that could get the price below $19.99 ($21.39 after tax).

I’m tempted by this. The price is right, and I love small earrings (especially ones that aren’t valuable enough for me to get upset about when I inevitably lose them!)

I can’t tell if it’s the lighting in the photo or what, but it looks like the pair 3rd down in the second column don’t match – one loooks green, the other clear or opal. Is this a style now? I can see that might look cool in multiple piercings on the same ear, but I would think worn as “pair” it would just look like I was harried and rushing to get ready in the morning. ?

I don’t know if it’s the intention here, but there IS a trend of non-matching earrings. Some of my Betsey Johnson earrings don’t match. Like one will be a teapot and the other is a cup. Or one is a black cat and the other is a witch’s hat. etc

See, the examples you gave, I get. There’s still a common theme: they represent items that correspond with each other (come to think of it, I have a pair that’s a cat and a fish bone). It’s a playful mismatch, but also clearly intentional. Two different colors of the same earring, as is possibly what’s going on here, runs a risk of looking haphazard and accidental. But I’m probably just old and out of touch.

Well, I did purchase this, so I guess come day 12, we’ll get to the bottom of the mystery once and for all!

tam

LOL…I think that may be the lighting on the photo. But then again…is this the new style? hahahahaha

So happy to see this Advent calendar! Something different , affordable, and cool enough for my stylish 18 year old! She only shops at 3 stores now and lucky for me this is one of them . Super excited to give this to her . Thanks Liz!!! You have been making my Christmas shopping a breeze , for others and myself . I had to tell my husband I am purchasing my own gifts this year, and we haven’t even seen the LE boxes yet . Yikes ! I hope I have been a good wife this year because I am getting a lot of presents !

Lisa

Finally a non-beauty one! I’d love to find more of ones like this-lifestyle/jewelry/etc. Thanks for posting!
