Clinique now has a 24 day advent calendar for $65 ($178 value) right now. I’m not sure if it’s any different than the U.K. version though.

I caved and got this one. Of course the UK had a Clinique one available with 24 items but it won’t ship to the US. So jealous!! I did snag the Kiehls one at Selfridges though cause it does ship to the US so pretty stoked for that one.

I ended up returning this and buying the U.K. Version on EBay. Much better deal. I wish more companies would release the same ones here as they do in the U.K.

I dont feel its an Advent Calendar if you can see whats inside. Its more like a holiday must have or limited addition holiday giftbox…. Does anyone feel that way too?? I love a surprise, and that is why I am asking.

For me, I don’t mind seeing what’s in it ahead of time. At least that way I know what I’m paying for. I’m probably one of the few that will actually wait for each day to come before opening each compartment, and I know by the December comes, I’ll already have forgotten most of what’s in the calendar, so each day will be a surprise. Also, if I do happen to remember some items in the calendar, it’ll still be a surprise because I won’t know which day I’ll reveal that product.

Overall, to me, I would consider this an advent calendar (regardless of how many ‘days’ it represents). I guess it’s like the chocolate advent calendars… you already know there’s pieces of chocolate in it, but maybe you don’t know what kind of chocolate is hidden for each day.

Maybe if it had 24 items instead of 10. I love a surprise too, but I know if I had one especially a REAL one I’d rip them all open in two minutes…

I am so torn about this one. I LOVE Clinique and would use all of these items, but I also get this kind of stuff free when they run their minis specials online. I don’t see myself paying 40 bucks for stuff I get free all year long. But I love advent calendars too, so I want it! I think I will pass… but the hoarder in me wants all the things!

Probably a stupid question.. What does GWP mean? Gift with purchase because if so that’s exactly what “that 10 day advent calendar” lmao looks like to mee!

Luna

That’s exactly what GWP means. 🙂

Ok,this is kinda funny lol that is absolutely a GWP ?

This looks like a regular Clinique GWP, except it’s $40. I love Clinique but can’t get excited over a GWP pretending to be an advent calendar.

Advent calendars typically have 24 slots that count down the December days till Christmas. What’s with these boxes with less?

This one’s so tempting for me as there are a few things in there I’d like to try, but I think I’m going to chance it and wait for an added incentive before I get it (i.e. GWP offer, etc.)
