When I signed up for this service, I took a pretty lengthy quiz in which I indicated my price, size and style preferences. Wantable uses a great model of indicating what you love, what you like and what you dislike, for all their subscriptions! They send you more of what you love, and never what you dislike. These are the preferences I selected. I can go back and change them at any time.

Below my preferences is a note from my stylist, Madelyn. It explains why she chose the items she picked for me.

This is the invoice of the items they sent me this month. On the right it shows my cost to keep each item. The total comes to $334. If I keep everything, I get 20% off, plus I get my $20 styling fee deducted. That brings the total down to $247.20 for a discount of $88.80. That’s a deep discount!

Lace Shoulder Detail Cardigan – Cost to Keep $49

This is a cute cardigan, and I think it looks pretty good on me. I really like the dolman sleeves!

Rolled boyfriend Kress Jeans by Kensie – Cost to Keep $78

I got a pair of Kensie jeans in my Wantable Style Edit last month, too, and I think I liked those better. These are super comfortable, and I love the “lived in” look of these… But… Is it my imagination, or do these actually make my legs look bigger somehow?

Also note that I straightened my hair for these pictures. I always think my wavy hair looks so big and crazy, so I thought I would try the flat look. I don’t know how I feel about it!

Knit Top – Cost to Keep $49

I think I love this extremely lightweight sweater! It’s got a pretty flattering shape, and it’s warm without being bulky. It’s a great transition piece to cooler weather.

Long Sleeve Woven Top by Perch – Cost to Keep $50

This is my favorite piece in the box and I am totally keeping it! I love the color and print, and I think it’s absolutely perfect for autumn! I also like that it flows out at the waist; that makes for such a flattering silhouette. I love it!

Harlow Faux Wrap Dress by Kiyonna – Cost to Keep $108

I love Kiyonna’s pieces so much, but sometimes I feel like I’m not, uh, well-endowed enough to wear them. This is one of those pieces. Her dresses are so sexy, but if they are not the right shape for me, I just end up feeling kind of naked and self-conscious. I think this one has to go back, unfortunately.

Verdict: I am really loving my Wantable Style Edit so far! I love that they included a boutique brand this month (Perch), and it was such a great piece! I hope they continue to include items from Kiyonna, but not every item from Kiyonna will be a win for me. They’re still fun to try on! Even though not every single piece this month was a win for me, I absolutely love having items hand-selected for me, and I think my stylist is doing an excellent job!

What do you think of Wantable Style Edit? What did you receive in your box this month?

  1. That dress looks really great on you! The color is just fabulous! ?

  2. You have so many voting and every time I have to say it, I love that you do this and that you feel beautiful(because u r) and you are comfortable in your own skin to do this… Alot of super gorgeous finds this time.. To expensive for my wallet but if you got it faunt it girlfriend..

  3. Everything looked great, as far as the jeans go…. I personally stay away from any wash of jean that is not on the darker side.. I have thicker thighs as well and find the darker washes a lot more slimming 🙂 I stay with what I know is more flattering, even if it makes my wardrobe a bit more boring!

  4. Anna I love ur posts especially when u model the clothes! I also have those jeans from Wantable and I love them…I carry my weight in butt and hips and fund it hard to get jeans to fit without a gap in the back of them! U are beautiful!

  5. Okay, I hope this is not too out of line, and I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t really think it would possibly help, so – I think the problem you’re having with that (beautiful, sexy, uniquely-coloured) dress is in the foundation garment area. A properly-sized, high quality brassiere can make a world of difference. And there’s nothing wrong with wearing a bit of shapewear, especially in the fall and winter. (I like that it keeps me warm.) You definitely don’t NEED it, but if it will make you feel better in the dress, therefore leading to you wearing it more often, feeling beautiful in it, and getting your money’s worth; then I personally feel it’s worth it.

Great review as always, Anna. Thanks!

    • Just curious, is there a high quality brassiere brand you’d recommend? I wear 32D (according to associates at vs) which is an easy size to find, but when I see pictures of myself I always cringe at how all my foundation clothes dont seem to shape me well.

      • VS is the worst place to get fitted. For years they had me in a 40D then I went to Nordstrom and got a real fitting….turns out I’m a 36H. What a world of difference it has made!

        Love your reviews 🙂

  6. Anna, that dress looks gorgeous on you! A statement necklace should do the trick. You look incredibly beautiful. I wished we had subscription services like this one in India. I love your reviews!

    • Omg thank you so much Ankita!

  7. You must keep that knit top!!! It looks great on you!

I actually think you look smokin’ in that dress.

Sometimes the polling needs more options (like the hair it should have been: 1) prefer straight, 2) prefer wavy or 3) both ways are great).

    • Lol! Thanks Loba!

    • Ditto. You have great hair. What shampoo do you use?

  8. I think what you’re feeling with the jeans is that there’s a lot of whiter distressing on the thighs. Darker colors always make your legs look thinner. Personally, I don’t think anyone looks good in dolman sleeves – they just make a person wider. But if you love it, keep it. The tops are great on you! And the dress is nice, too, and an interesting color, not run of the mill, but you have to feel it with a dress, I think.

p.s. Your hair looks gorgeous any way you wear it.

    • Awww thanks Theresa!

  9. I think you look much cuter in the JustFab jeans. The Kress jeans just weren’t flattering.

    • Agreed!

  10. Love your hair either way and always look forward to YOUR reviews. They’re honest and personal. Great job as usual!!!

    • Thank you Colleen! That makes my day!

    • I am with Colleen, your reviews always feel like something your friend would send you in pictures when discussing things they might want to get. Very personable, open and friendly. Great job and love the hair either way =)

  11. The dress. You look gorgeous in the dress! The color and cut look fantastic. I really think that’s what you should keep.

    • I also loved the dress on you! Its my favorite from this month. The color really suits you well and it really caight my eye. Thanks for an awesome review as usual!

      • Thanks so much Jeein!

    • Thank you Js! You really think so?

    • Love your new hair style! I think you look great in all the clothes , even the wrap dress. Though I do understand you not feeling comfortable in it. I feel that same way in most dresses unfortunately, and the bottom line is if you don’t feel good in it you won’t wear it. Did want you to know that I think you can rock it though ! Thank to for your great reviews. It is so refreshing to see a real woman model clothes for us other real women. I am so sick of catalogs and online stores only ever showing women who don’t even look remotely like me or any other women I know! You are beautiful and your stylist is doing a great job . I may have to give them a try. If I do they have you to thank ! I look forward to more of your reviews, hopefully more clothing sub boxes . I like the way you review clothes and feel I can relate to you ! Thank you for putting so much effort into it , helps me feel more confident in my purchases,. I for one appreciate you!!

      • Just looked again , you really do look smoking hot in that wrap dress ! Maybe just start by wearing it for a home date night to get more comfortable wearing it ? Then wear it for a girls night out !! I just know if you can feel good in that dress you can definitely rock it!! Some thing about the color and style really does look incredible on you . Just saying – if I looked that great in a dress I would wear it , and I never wear dresses !

        • Statement necklace would complete the dress! Sorry last comment promise . Just loved all of your clothes . I am going to sign up right now! Haha just what I need !

          • Lol! Thank you so much for all your thoughtful comments Nicole! I’m starting to think maybe I should keep the dress! Lol!

    • Keep the dress! You can get a cute camisole to wear under it (maybe in a contrasting color) to deal with any feelings of nakedness.

      • Thanks Janet!
