This month, the theme was "Sweet and Savory" - my favorite!
American Spoon Pumpkin Chipotle Roasting Sauce - $10.95
This sauce is made with pumpkin, apple cider, chipotle peppers, brown sugar and spices. American Spoon recommends using it with seafood, pork, and poultry. Since I don't eat any of those, I used it on some roasted acorn squash, and loved it! The sweet and savory flavors of the sauce paired really well with the squash.
Pop it! Top it! Pumpkin 'n Spice Popcorn Kit - $7.00
I can't find this exact product for sale online, so I'm going with The Pumpkin Batch's value here. This kit comes with one bag of popcorn, one bag of pumpkin spice candy melts, and one bag of sugar topping.
It took about 5 minutes in total to make, and I really enjoyed it!
Brigid's Baked Finery - Pumpkin Pizzelles - $2.00
These pizzelles have a great flavor, but they were definitely soft and not crisp like I expected. The Pumpkin Batch recommended eating these within 2-4 days of receiving my box, which I did, but I think they are still a little stale. With that said, they were still delicious!
Cornelia Confections Brittle Crunch Thin Crunchy Candy - $5.99
This is basically peanut brittle with pumpkin seeds instead of peanuts. It is corn syrup free, and flavored with pumpkin spice as well. I really enjoyed this - it was crisp, and delicious!
Verdict: This The Pumpkin Batch shipment has a value of about $25.94, and had four items. The value covered the cost of the box, just barely. This box was quite heavy on the food items, but to find pumpkin things that aren't food can be hard, so I'm not dinging them on that at all. We do usually get 4-5 items, and I think a small 5th item would have been a nice addition to this box for value and curation purposes. With that said, I enjoyed all of the items and it was definitely enough to whet my appetite for all things pumpkin spice this fall!
