Each box comes with a booklet detailing the month’s products and prices. This month’s theme is “Best Hair Day Ever”. All products this month were curated with your luscious locks (and even eyebrows!) in mind.

Milk Anti-Frizz Leave-In Nourishing Treatment (3.33 oz.) – $42.00

This nourishing hair treatment fights frizz with an earthy, herbal smell. My hair is oily and straight and frizz has never been a problem of mine, unlike many women. However I tried this treatment on my daughter’s hair, because she always wakes up with frizzy cotton candy hair. This really smoothed it out and I was a big fan of the natural smell.

Hubalou Wrap Hair Towel – $24.00

Hubalou wraps are made of sustainable bamboo fibers. The wrap is incredibly soft and stretchy. Wrapping your wet hair in this wrap will minimize drying time, fight frizz and is better for your hair than terrycloth or microfiber towels which can pull on delicate hair strands causing breakage. Love this inclusion in a Best Hair Day box!

Province Apothecary Full Brow Serum (0.2 oz.) – $16.00

This serum is formulated to encourage hair growth. It’s blended with botanical extracts and antioxidants. Application should be twice a day on eyebrows and massaged in for 10-20 seconds. The smell is beautiful and reminds me of the spa. I can’t attest to the serum claims because I haven’t been using it long enough yet. I also don’t have thin brows or pluck them so I’m not sure if I would notice much difference anyway.

Verdict: I’m really not a hair girl: I air dry my hair, have never colored it or gotten highlights and either wear it down or thrown up in a ponytail every day. So I knew this Clean Beauty Box theme wouldn’t resonate with me like all the others have. However I think the milk treatment is great to have on hand for my daughter’s frizz and I love the bamboo wrap for when I get out of the shower. This month’s value is $82 which is fabulous for a $38 box filled with high-end brands. I’m excited to see what October’s theme will be and which new brands and products I’ll get to try!

What do you think of this month’s Clean Beauty Box? Which product was your favorite?

  1. I signed up for one month of this box, and I emailed and asked them to cancel my subscription so that next month I could switch to quarterly. They then double charged me without my authorization for a quarterly subscription immediately. Be careful. I asked them for a refund of both subscriptions (I only subscribed Friday) bc it makes me nervous to subscribe to any box that will charge me without an email first for authorization. They literally double billed me two days later.

  2. If anyone is looking to sell this box let me know, it would be perfect for my daughter who battles frizzy hair 😊

  3. Hi, I am looking to buy this box, if someone doesn’t need theirs, I am on the swap site, but don’t have anything to swap right now….so if u want to sell via paypal or ebay, let me know!! 😊

  4. I love this box. I initially subscribed for the Captain Blankenship Golden Waves sea salt spray, and found myself looking forward to the box each month. This month was really great. The leave-in conditioner tames my curls and the hair wrap makes my curls dry quickly. I was really surprised at how much better my curls looked overall after using both, so I’ll be using them for a long time. The brow serum wasn’t so great for me because I’m allergic to it, but I’m so happy with the rest of the box, it’s not a big deal.

  5. I LOVE this box! I subscribed a few months ago and really look forward to each month thanks in part to this box. The products are not only luxurious and organic, but also really work so amazingly well. The customer service is also so quick to respond and so kind! The price may seem high but in the long run, it is so worth it in every way and I have since unsubscribed to a few other beauty boxes because they just do not fulfill me as much. So really, it is saving me money! Lol! I highly recommend this subscription!

  6. Hi Jessica,
I think there was a little typo regarding the brow serum. You accidentally put down it should be massaged in for 10-20 minutes, instead of seconds. 🙂

I was so excited when I opened my box this month and saw the Reverie product. I have been eyeing it at Sephora ever since I saw it, but really didn’t want to pay full-price for it.

This was my last month of my subscription, and it went out on a high note for me.

    • Thanks for the catch, Luna! You’re correct!

  7. Hair wrap sounds really interesting. This particular box is calling my name:)

  8. $38 per month is too much for me to splurge on right now, but I just put that hair wrap on my shopping list! 🙂
