My Switch was shipped via USPS first class mail and came with a prepaid return label. The welcome card also comes with instructions on how to return the jewelry.

When you sign up for Switch, you take a look at all the pieces in their collection and select your favorites. They then match your picks with what they have available and send you the number of pieces that match the plan you’ve chosen. You choose from actual items in their collection and not just something in a similar style.

Vanessa Mooney Tassel Necklace – Value $122, Member Price $85.40

I know there are some strong anti-tassel opinions out there but I am largely in for the trend. Renting jewelry like this is an especially good way to dabble in a trend without the commitment. The necklace was just as I expected it to be and was fun to wear for a day. The beads did catch on my hair a bit though. The tassel was well made and the knot made it feel more special than the average tassel.

The long beads in the chain had a little bit of sparkle to them. The Switch site lists the beads as black but they looked more navy to me.

Here is the necklace on. This necklace could really dress up a simple, well-structured dress.

Switch Diamond Circle Studs – Value $700, Member Price $490

These delicate earrings are made by Switch. They have a high retail value because they are made with 18k yellow gold with 32 tiny ethical and conflict free diamonds. These are so pretty and understate while also adding just a touch of fancy. $700 (or $490) earrings just aren’t in my budget so it’s nice to be able to have a few days of luxury for the cost of the rental.

Here are the earrings on. You can see now tiny they are!

Verdict: This month’s Switch was very nice! I liked my picks from my last Switch better but that’s all on me. They’ve added new pieces to their collection and it’s fun to comb through the selection and add new favorites. And since these are just for rent, I’m going to have more fun and go for more bold pieces next time.

  1. Oh my goodness, you have such nice skin! I’d be terrified of a close up like that! 🙂

    • Aw, thank you!

  2. I find it surprising that they sent it via first class mail. With a package containing $700 worth earrings should have been sent priority with signature required and the same goes for the return label.

The earrings are really very pretty.

    • I’ve ordered things for net-a-porter and eBay for that and never do a signature. I’d be more concerned about speed and my friends who are using Switch said they have amazing turnaround times. Those earrings are to die for though!
