Each bi-monthly delivery of Smuggler’s Bounty has a Star Wars related theme. Past themes include Jabba’s Palace and Bounty Hunters – this month’s theme was Death Star!

Each delivery also has an information card. This info card is one of my favorite from all of my subscription boxes. You’ll find sculpt and color detail for these exclusively created items, along with creation stories of all the items in the box.

You’ll always get a themed patch and pin for your Star Wars collection. This month features a Vader patch and a Royal Guard Stormtrooper pin.

Battle on the Death Star – Value $15?

This month’s shirt features Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi! They’ve battled a couple times in the Star Wars universe – and now you have the POP version on your very own shirt.

Darth Vader POP – Value $20-30?

Somehow, I do not have a single Vader POP- that ended as I unboxed this Smuggler’s Bounty!

This POP comes from the Luke and Vader duel on the Cloud City of Bespin. I love the mold of this POP – now we just need a Luke Skywalker Bespin POP.

Grand Moff Tarkin POP – Value $20-30?

I never thought I’d own a POP of Governor Tarkin. He’s most famous for his appearance in the first film, on the Death Star, of course.

Here he his in a very General-like pose. There are rumors that the late Peter Cushing may be resurrected via CGI for Rogue One – I’m so excited for this movie for many many reasons!

Death Star Luggage Tag – Value $10?

The final item is a Death Star shaped luggage tag – awesome! I recently replaced my luggage tag with a Back to the Future themed tag I received recently, now I’m rethinking my decision because I’m loving this Death Star tag.

Verdict: Any double POP month is a win in my book – even if they aren’t exclusives – so this Smuggler’s Bounty was extra good for me! It seems like they went back to what worked best – POPs and a shirt – and I can’t thank them enough, this box was a winner. I also liked getting something different than a comic book this delivery – the Death Star tag was cool and unique. Overall, this month was a big win for me.

What did you think of the Death Star Smuggler’s Bounty box?

  1. There is a Luke (Bespin Encounter) pop. He’s missing the hand and is in the brown outfit. I think he may have been a Hot Topic exclusive. I picked him up on ebay a few weeks ago.

  2. There are two different Luke Bespin Pops. Before (w/ hand) and after… Both currently available.

    • Yes. thank you!

  3. I really want that luggage tag. I would love opening this box but I’m not really big on collecting things like pops because I hate dusting, which is why I pass on most geek boxes.

  4. Love that shirt!

  5. That Darth Vader pop, with its giant head, reminds me intensely of Stewie in the Family Guy Star Wars episodes. … Also, Darth Helmut.

    • Lol, I said the same thing to my husband when I opened it. “Is it me, or does Darth Vader totally look like Stewie?!?!?”

      • Right?? It’s a Darth Stewie statue! 😀
