MunchPak
3.5 overall rating
47 Ratings | 14 Reviews

MunchPak is an assortment of new snacks along with old favorites from the US and abroad. They don't offer a 100% vegan option so my husband, Andy helped me try all the snacks that contained animal ingredients. What a good sport!

MunchPak sent us this Original MunchPak for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Oblita Coquet Wafer

This Argentinian chocolate snack has a sweet peanut filling. My husband described it as "like a pieroette except the middle is creamy peanut butter and the outside is dipped in chocolate and rice crispies." The Coquet Wafer contained dairy so I wasn't able to try it but it was my husband's favorite sweet treat from this MunchPak box!

Oblita Noir

This is another chocolatey treat from the Argentinian brand Oblita. My husband said that they oddly taste like fruit loops even though they're chocolate. The didn't have the chocolate or vanilla taste he expected and thought they were fruity instead. Strange!

Parle Top Spin

Andy thought these biscuits from India tasted very familiar. He decided they were like animal crackers but savory.

Richester Amori Chocolate Filled Biscuit

This treat from Brazil is a chocolate on chocolate cookie sandwich. My husband said these were really good and had a hint of strawberry flavor to them. He even said they smell like strawberry cream! Interesting for a chocolate treat with no mention of strawberry on the package.

Sante Cardamom Cashews

I was able to try these cashews and they were so good! They reminded me of the roasted nut carts in NYC except less sweet and with a savory note from the cardamom. The Sante brand is from the US.

Wai Lana Chips - Thai Curry & Lime

These yucca chips are from US based brand Wai Lana. They have Thai curry flavoring that isn't overpowering. They are lightly salted with a touch of sweetness. Andy said they taste almost creamy.

Haribo Peaches

My husband is a die-hard Haribo fan (the gold bears are his favorite) so I was excited for him to try these. He said they were gummy but not sticky and very peachy! I think bears are still his favorite from Haribo but these were gobbled up quickly. These gummies are straight from Germany.

Takaoka Choco Flakes

Takaoka Choco Flakes are chocolate covered corn flakes. These were probably the first snack Andy finished so he definitely liked them. This is a treat from Japan, which even without text you can tell by how cute that ear of corn is on the packaging.

Coris New Fue Ramune Whistle Candy

I loved these! Just by looking at them, I assumed they would be minty like white Lifesaver mints but I was wrong. They were sweet and dissolved/crumbled easily. I could eat so many of these. The flavor is hard to describe because they didn't taste like a specific fruit, just sweet and delicious.

Coney Island Classics - Jalapeno Poppers Kettle Corn with Himalayan Pink Salt

I saved the best for last! Andy and I were both able to enjoy this sweet and spicy popcorn and we loved it. This is something we would definitely buy to snack on and share with friends. The popcorn had just enough kick from the jalapeño and was balanced out by the sweetness of the kettle corn. This is the perfect snack!

Verdict: This was my first MunchPak and I was pleased by the quantity and the variety. I got to see so many snacks that I'd never heard of before and I know Andy enjoyed trying all of them. I think this box is great for anyone who loves to snack and wants to try new things from all around the world. I wish this box had included a card that told me more about each snack. They have a new app with a snack scanner but sometimes it's handy to just have all the info in front of you (no download required) as you sample and taste the treats.

That Coney Island Jalapeno Popcorn looks like something I’d love.
