  1. I did not get a product info card for Octobers bag. If anyone has the prices of the products can you post them for me. The bag was nicer quality this month and the products were definitely better and they were all a more wearable color. However i did not receive the colors i picked for two of the products. I am not happy about that. What is the point of saying you do customization if you aren’t going to do it. I know i picked brick for one of the colors but did not get it. There are four items all together. Laritzy lip liner in jewel, it is a nice shade a good formula. Cargo lip gloss in sahara which i do like. It is a pale nude color but it says it never feels sticky and it does feel sticky. Hikari lipstick in romance which is a nude color. I like it but it makes my lips look a little dry. The last item is Be a Bombshell lipstick in charmed. Don’t like the color which is a ugly brown rust and i think its one of the items i picked a different shade for and didn’t get. It is definitely better items than what i have been getting but they need to make sure they get the customization right. I will bot be resubscribing.

  2. I have had this sub for about 5 months. Been very disappointed in colors and brands. I figured would get better with changes but even with my Oct. box I still can’t get into the new website and directed to different link at the old site and still couldn’t pick my color choices! Upset this sub chooses to pick the new customers for new options on the site instead of customers that have been with them. I am now canceled and will put my money to another sub.

    • Ditto,and when you ask them about it they act like it’s all just a misunderstanding.Still can’t get on the site and their
      reply is they aren’t having a problem getting on .I just can’t wrap my head around that one lol. And to top it off I received the one color (again) that I can’t wear orange

  3. Just a head up, I signed up for this deal and ended up with only 4 items, not 5, and I ended up with the OPPOSITE of what I selected for my customization.

    • Oh great! They still can’t get their stuff together. My bag should be here tomorrow and it better have the right colors. Did you contact them about getting only 4 products?

    • Yes I only got four also ,but only four were shown on the card they send so I assumed they only meant to send four

  4. Does anyone know the website to the old lip monthly?

    • has always worked in the past but I haven’t been able to get on for over two weeks ,I assume because I’m a old subscriber.I can’t even get real tracking numbers that work,and when you email them they act like its your fault you can’t get on the site after doing each thing they tell you to do as an old subscriber and ignore the reason you emailed them about in the first place .According to the email they finally sent me I should receive my bag on the 19th,according to the new tracking number they sent today I won’t get it till the 24th .So good luck to you if you were an old subscriber,sorry for rambling but their driving me nuts lol

      • I ended up canceling my old subscription then resubbing with a new email. That was much easier than using the old site. I received octobers bag for $5 and got to pick two colors for products. I finally got a shipping notice today.

    • When you go to the LM site there is a pop up that says new customers click here and old customers sign in here.

  5. The options are up, for what it’s worth. Choices seem pretty blah to me. Have no idea what the actual lippies are.

  6. I just signed up. I’ve been eyeballing this sub for months now but I’ve been afraid to try it because in all my other sub boxes anytime I get a lip color it’s always some kind of red… And I don’t wear red… Ever! Lol so I have a million shades of red. But now seeing that I can customize it a little on Oct. 1 and that it’s only $5 to try I figured it was worth a shot. I’m excited to get it and hopefully I’ll get some colors I’ll actually use!

    • You can customize a lipstick and a lip gloss now on the website. The choices for the lip gloss are 93rd and clear.

I’ve been with lip monthly since Janurary and all this time they’ve been promising color choices .Great it’s finally here but guess what old subscribers you don’t get a choice ,don’t have a clue when we might be added ,just soon is their answer I’m not happy lip monthly I’ve suffered thru all the crapy colors waiting for this opportunity anddddddd no you don’t get to do it.And we’ve never rated things for points so that will be nice ,oh wait can’t do that either.We actually sign in differently than the new people and the new page doesn’t recognize us as subscribers.Please fix it lip monthly

    • I feel your frustration. October is my first month with LipMonthly, but I signed up before the new website was up (somewhere in the middle of September), so even though I’m a new customer, I don’t get the option to customize anything in my box.

      In my opinion, they should have started the customization for their existing customer base first, and worked any kinks before advertising it and offering it to new subscribers. Take care of your existing customers first and always…these are the ones that have been consistent in purchases.

      I’m hoping the box is good for this month, I was skeptical going in based on the reviews and reports from the comments on this site.

  8. Great! Right after I cancelled I see this! 😄Lol! Won’t miss any of it though. I was subscribed for over a year and have more than enough bags and Lippies that I don’t really use..

  9. After about 3 months I just canceled last month. I wasn’t getting ANY colors I could/would actually wear. It was becoming a big waste. I just signed up on the new lip monthly site and I’m really hoping that they will have some colors that suit me available to choose. I have really high hopes for lip monthly this time around. They had some pretty good brands and some of their bags were really cute ( not all of them :/ ) and although the colors were way off for me, some of the formulas seemed to be good, just couldn’t get past the color. The new site is a vast improvement from the old one. Hopefully they will have some fall colors, BROWNS please!

    • If you sub right now, you can’t customize the color.
      Customization is only 1st thru the 5th. I shot them an e mail, here’s hoping I don’t end up with wild unusable colors. just an fyi, you don’t get that screen until after you pay =(

  10. Oh that’s pretty great. I might cancel my birchbox to get this one, because I find i mostly use lipsticks from the boxes.

  11. I’ve always liked the concept of this box but have avoided it because, based on reviews, it looked like they didn’t send out a lot of lip colors that would look good on darker skin like mine. Now that you can select from an option of shades, I figured I’ll finally give it a shot for $5. I’m just hoping subscribers will be able to select from several shades instead of just a couple that will be a miss for me either way.

  12. I just signed up. I was reading on their website how the reward points work. they state that you can review each item in the bag for 10 points per review, which can then be used to purchase items in their shop. That sounds great to me, so I was curious what is offered in their shop. I could not find a link to the shop. Does anyone know if they actually had one before and because they are in the midst of changing to a new website the shop is unavailable right now? Has anyone written reviews before and received points? I am just curious about others experiences with the rewards points and shops.

    • I’ve been a subscriber since earlier this year, and I had no idea they even had a rewards system!

      To get to the shop, you’ll need to go through their old website. When you enter their new site, a pop-up window will appear with a link to the old site.

  13. I’ve been waiting for this since I cancelled in July so I resubbed. Hopefully it will go better this time around.

  14. I am an existing customer and I have not been able to customize my account. Any other existing customers been able to customize your account yet? If so, point me where to pick my colors please? Thanks in advance!

    • Your options to customize should be available in your account starting October 1st. Hope that helps! 🙂

      • Nope if your an existing customer you don’t get to choose this is the 4th of the month and still being taken to the old site.I have desided to cancel but they have just taken fifty bucks from my bank account so I’m stuck for four months.Ive always liked this sub except for the aweful colors so them not letting existing subscribers have the same choice as new has really bothered me

        • I am an existing customer and I emailed them and told them this is horrible customer service and that existing customers should have had first pick. They told me that November we should be able to customize our bags.

          • That’s not good enough for me ,we existing subscribers should have come first not new subscribers.Thats horrible customer relations,sorry you weren’t important to us ,that’s what I hear.And when I wrote them they didn’t tell the truth about when we would receive this option.I think I’ll go to my bank and fight the charges because I thought I would always get my subscription for thirty something dollars but they took over fifty dollars for me not to have a choice of color their mistake not mine.

    • You’d think they would have sent an email to existing subscribers letting us know about this. I prepaid for a 4-month sub, and I had actually just gone in a couple days ago to cancel any recurring charge. I was asked why and “lack of customization” was one of the reasons. If they had told me then that it was upcoming I may have just stayed…weird.

  15. Oh man…….. i already have 8 subscription boxes! I’ve been eyeballing this one because of the brands they send. I have zero willpower! I might have to try it.

  16. I signed up for the $5 box, which will be September. Customization is closed for September. Sign-in on Oct. 1st to customize shades for October. Looks like a model co. lip liner (love model co), a pretty starlooks lip crayon, NCLA nails wraps and a Jcat lacquer. I said over a year ago that I would consider this sub if they let us pick shades. So here I am! Also, my 5th grader is developing a lippie obsession, and bright reds and pinks look really good on her.

    • The items you listed are for the september box … or at least should be as we just basically got those same products. I had already cancelled. I can not figure out how to do reviews to get points or anything and I seem to like maybe a couple of the things we get. But i’ll revisit in the future depending upon spoilers.

      • They are the September products. Sorry, my wording wasn’t clear. I have no idea what October brings, but I am excited to give it a try. I went ahead and subscribed for September since it had the model co. lipliner. I googled images to see what was in this month’s bag.

        • They said we are getting 5 products in the October bag. I just signed up and that’s what it said, and to come back on the first of each month to customize the colors for two of the products. I renewed now that they’re letting us pick the colors of at least two products.

          • Ok. It seemed to me like I was getting a September bag. I am ok either way. Does yours say your next renewal is Oct.1?

  17. I’m still waiting for my September bag or even an email for tracking information. I was charged for it on September 2nd and haven’t received any word yet. 🙁 I contacted customer service.

  19. I just tried to log into my account, but it’s saying my user ID is not found. Weird. I sent them an email, so I’m hoping I have the same luck in receiving a fairly quick response (and solution) as I had earlier this year when I had to contact them about log in issues (that were my fault) when I first subscribed.

    I read that others were actually having problems logging into their accounts recently. I was curious if any other current subscribers were encountering the same issues.

    • They are switching over to a new website. I think two days ago I had the same problem, and there was a button to click back to the old website where current subscribers could sign in. It seems the new website is not recognizing previous accounts or something.

      • Thank you so much for your reply! When I saw the pop-up referencing what you mentioned, I just automatically closed it thinking it was a “sign-up now!” pop-up or something along those lines. It recognized my user id (whew!), but I guess I forgot my password since it’s been awhile. Thanks again! 🙂

    • Yes, I couldn’t log into my old account either, but I think it’s because I cancelled it a couple months ago, because they were going to let me sub bi-monthly instead of skipping a month but to do that CS said I had to unsub then re-sub when I was ready to start again, so I suspect my account was deleted (aka cancelled) which is fine, I just made a new one on the new site using the $5 off code with no problem. It says Sept customization is closed and opens on Oct 1, so I hope that means I’m getting October’s bag and not September’s. It appears that way based on the billing cycle (?) “Starting September 24, 2015, anyone signing up will not be billed until the 1st day of the month in which they will receive their first bag. For example, if you join on September 24, 2015 – you will not be billed until October 1st, 2015. You will then be shipped your October bag by October 10th, 2015” (quotes from their FAQs).

  20. Ooh, nice! I’ve been considering this sub for a while, & this might put me over the edge!

    • I’m actually happy the boxes will be somewhat personalized. I’ll give them a chance to get it together. October will be my first box. Although It’ll probably be the November box that is personalized.

      • I just signed up and they told me to come back onto my account page on October first to personalize my October bag. I guess you get to choose the color for two products but they’re sending out five products in the October bag. Lately they were only putting four products in and weren’t as good as when they first started, so I cancelled for a few months. So I’m going to give them another try because you do get a good value for what you spend, especially now that we can actually choose what colors we like.

        • LindseyMP- Thanks so much for posting. I was concerned that if I signed up today that I would get the September box. I am giving this a shot for one month because it’s only $5, but I’m not sure about continuing because I was looking over my plastic shoebox filled with over 100 lipsticks and I was thinking that it I grew 6 more heads and lived 200 years, I would never use up all those lipsticks (and of course, I also have tons of glosses, crayons and liners). For $5 it’s worth it because I’m curious and I love getting packages in the mail.

          • LoL me too! Plus I’m sure by now too much of my old shoebox stash is probably rancid, I’m rather afraid to look!
