Soft Shapes Animal Book – value: $11.57 on Amazon (retail price $12.99)

This book is great! It’s made of foam and each page has a foam animal that you can pop out to see what noise it makes, and then push it back in like a puzzle! You can see what I mean better below.

Hape Beaded Raindrops – value: $9.95

This rainmaker is made with little beads inside a clear plastic tube. It’s extra interesting with a little “obstacle course” that the beads fall through as they fall from one end to the other. I like this toy but it doesn’t seem to be particularly entertaining for my 1 year old.

Here’s a look inside the book. It’s been a lot of fun for my son so far.

Skip Hop Zoo Insulated Food Jar – 11 oz, value: $18

This is such a cute little insulated container! It holds 11 oz and I love the adorable (and gender neutral) bee on the outside. It has a little holder on the side that holds the included spork, but you should be able to pop in most kids or plastic utensils.

Cuppies Training Cup with Hidden Friends – value: $7.49

This cup has a hidden little animal at the bottom to encourage kids to transition from sippy cups! I think it’s an adorable idea but since my son just turned one and still loving throwing and knocking over all kinds of sippy cups, I think it’ll be a little bit of time before we use this cup!

Here’s a peek at the inside of the cup – it’s a little blue penguin.

And here’s how the stainless steel insulated food jar looks with the cap off. I tried it with some water inside and shook it around it didn’t leak, which is awesome. Plus it’s the perfect size for a lunchbox or diaper bag.

Green Sprouts Bio-Based Stacking Cups – value: $6? (8-packs available on Amazon)

These stacking cups are BPA and PVC free, which is great. Some have holes in the bottom so when you take these into the bath you can watch the water drain from them. Stacking cups are a basic/essential toy in my opinion, so I’m happy to have these! It would also be good to include in a baby shower gift.

Plan Toys Dino Racer – value: $6

This little dinosaur is made from natural rubberwood trees. It’s very solid and sturdy and rolls well. My son really likes it but I noticed one thing while he was playing: there’s not a great place for him to grab it to roll it around. If he grabs the head/neck he can’t push hard or else it falls over from the angle. He’ll figure it out fast so it’s not a big deal, but he was having a little trouble with what angle he needs to hold his hand at plus what angle to apply pressure to roll it back and forth. Maybe the shape could have been a little more intuitive.

Verdict: Yet again, I’m happy with my Kub Klub box! The quality of the items they choose is consistently fantastic and the curation is fun for both me and my son. I like seeing brands I know and love as well as new and smaller brands. The value this month adds up to $59.01 which is just under where I’ve come to expect the value to be from this sub.

I have heard many of our readers say they miss Citrus Lane, which went out of business at the end of last year, and I think many have been looking for a delightful, high-quality box to fill that void. Personally, I’m excited to say that I think this box is making some great choices and I get excited seeing this box on my doorstep!

I bought a year subscription based off your review, their FB and because Bluum costs $34/month. I bought a year for only $24/month! I got my first box today, which was mildly disappointing, it’s like all teething items for my 3 month old. I would’ve preferred a little better assortment, but they’re all high quality. The box values $56! But I also wouldn’t pay $19 or $12.50 for two teething toys. I love how personalized it is though, I got a hand written note from the co-founder and CEO asking me to send an email with my favorite and least favorite items. Very refreshing change from Bluum!!
