My eight-year-old completely flipped when he saw these cube houses! Can you guess why? That’s right! Minecraft!

The reverse side of each postcard is in postcard format, but is filled with interesting facts about the topic (in this case, the cubic houses of Rotterdam). This seems to be written at a level that would be great for preschool and early grade school students to read with (or to) their parents.

There is also a website address for their online content. We took a peek and found that there is tons of information on their site about all kinds of fascinating topics!

The second postcard is all about the Kodiak bear! They are just huge! We both thought about how scary it would be to see one in nature.

My son and I both found the third card really fascinating. It’s all about debris in space! I guess there’s all kind of stuff floating around out there!

I could barely look at this postcard because I found it so creepy. Fortunately, most kids are not like me, and my son loves all kinds of unique critters. So brave!

Verdict: I was a little skeptical about Kiwibop Postcard Pals at first, but now that I have seen the overall value of the subscription, I’m a fan. The postcards themselves are beautiful and the topics are interesting. The kids should have no problem reading them (with help if needed), and the level is such that they can understand and learn about these topics. The online content is vast and also contains lots of additional interesting topics. The subscription is very inexpensive, especially for what your child gets and what they can access. Plus, kids love getting mail!
