Each box comes with an info card that details this month's selection.

Jini-Beauty-August-2016-1

Mizon Hyaluronic Ultra Suboon Cream - $15

This hydrating cream contains 30% hyaluronic acid, tree sap, and bamboo extract to soothe, nourish, and moisturize the skin. It's also perfect for sensitive, acne prone skin and is free of fragrance, artificial coloring, and parabens. I'm surprised by how lightweight this medium-thick cream is. It absorbs easily and even mattifies a little. I have oily skin so this is the perfect amount of moisture for me. You can also mix this with foundation or BB cream for extra hydration.

Nature Republic The First Emulsion - Value $1? ($28.90 for 150ml)

This emulsion contains 73% saccharomyces yeast ferment and claims to moisturize, tighten, cleanse, get rid of dead skin cells, and control sebum. It smells pleasant and feels hydrating without the stickiness. I did have some trouble getting the emulsion out of its tiny bottleneck.

Too Cool For School Rules of Skincare Replenish Hydra Essential Toner 50ml - Value $7.93

This is a toner that contains inositol that can apparently nourish and soothe irritated skin while protecting against dryness and future acne. It is thicker than water, almost like a light gel. I'm not used to non-water-based toners; it feels strange not needing a cotton pad to apply it to my skin. Because of its consistency it is more hydrating than liquid toners while still being lightweight. I still prefer watery toners over this but I'm sure it can be used like an essence as well.

Leaders Insolution Dr. Therapy Foot Mask - Value $5?

These 30 minute foot masks contain aloe vera, beeswax, and ceramide to give cracked and calloused feet some intense hydration. These are worn like paper booties and provide so much liquid goodness for dry feet. They are especially great for sandal season!

illi Mugwort Calming Mask - Value $3

I received this same mask in other boxes before and it's all right. This is from their hanbang (Korean traditional medicine) mask line. The mugwort extract acts as an anti-inflammatory while calming and soothing the skin. The cotton mask is thick but soaked in essence. The herbally floral fragrance is strong so sensitive noses beware. My skin does feel a bit sticky after use, though.

Nature Republic By Flower Lip Scrub - $8.99

This is a moisturizing lip scrub that comes in a convenient squeeze tube. It contains Vitamin A and little scrubby grains made from walnut to provide delicate exfoliation. The scrub comes in a creamy paste and feels extremely gentle. If you're looking for an intensive scrub, this probably isn't for you. But if you want something moisturizing and gentle on sensitive skin, do check this out.

Verdict: I'm very happy with my Jini Beauty box this month! Aside from the foot mask, I like and will use every product. My favorite discovery is the Mizon Ultra Suboon Cream-- it's everything that my oily skin needs. I estimate this month's value at $40.92, which is comfortably over the cost of subscription. This box also has a nice mix of full-size, single-use, and sample sized products like advertised.

This looks really nice. I’m guessing if I subscribed now it would be too late for the August box? I really like what you got and could use 75% of it.

Oh wow! I just went through the link to check it out and the price says $44.95. That’s way outside of my price range. Is there a different link for the $24.95 price?

Hi Victoria! I didn’t realize this at the time of review but Jini Beauty is changing to a bimonthly subscription starting in September. They’re “consolidating the products that you might be receiving in 2 monthly boxes into 1 bimonthly box.” It’s now $44.95 per box. Hope that helps.
