Ruffles Poutine Chips

I visited Canada for the first time when I was 17.  I went to visit a friend and stayed for a few weeks the summer after I graduated. What I found was a complete new world of snacks, including poutine! Even McDonald's sold gravy to dip your fries in...I've always wondered why that hasn't caught on here in the States. It was delicious! These chips were also absolutely delicious. Not exactly like eating real poutine, but c'mon, I can't exactly get it in So. Cal!

Ruffles All Dressed Chips

All dressed chips are also a favorite of mine! I love the mixture of flavors. Thankfully, you can find these in some Walmart stores here! These are everything you could wish for in a savory chip!

Lay's Ketchup Chips

My Canadian friends go on and on about Ketchup Chips. I've never had them before now, and was nervous to try them, since I'm not a huge ketchup fan. I really enjoyed them though! They were more like tomato flavored chips, which is a win in my book!

Mrs. Vickie's Sour Cream and Caramelized Onion Chips

How amazing do these sound? There is no flavor like caramelized onions, and these chips were out of this world delicious.

Aero Milk Chocolate by Nestle

If you've never tried one of these, I'm sorry. I love Aero bars - the bubbles in the chocolate and the all around great texture is a winner in my book.

Aero Dark Chocolate by Nestle

I've not tried a dark chocolate Aero yet, so this was new to me. Since I love dark chocolate, I really enjoyed this one as well!

Caramilk by Cadbury

Chocolate and caramel together? Yes please! I loved this bar! The caramel was nice and gooey, and paired nicely with the milk chocolate.

GC8

Mr. Big Bar by Cadbury

This was really good - it has peanut butter, rice crisps, and caramel! Those are three of the components of my favorite candy bar, and here they work really well. I'm mourning the fact that I've never seen one of these in the stores by me!

Bounty Coconut Candy Bar

I did like this, but coconut will never be one of my favorite flavors. Here it did pair nicely with the chocolate, but yeah, not something I would deliberately seek out.

Coffee Crisp by Nestle

Now the Coffee Crisp candy bar is my absolute favorite Canadian snack ever. I LOVE Coffee Crisp bars, and I feel like this box wouldn't be complete without one! These are like Kit Kats, but way better - they have a light coffee flavored cream, and it just works so well with the crispy wafer and the chocolate.

GC9

Cheezies by Hawkins

These are really good! They are quite similar to Cheetos here in the States. I enjoyed them for sure.

Verdict: This Get Canucked box was a huge box of happiness for me. It brought back so many great memories, and the snacks were all amazing. I cannot express how happy I am that there is a Canadian snack box on the market! I think that the value of what you're getting is worth the $25 cost for sure - I received 12 snacks, which comes out to an average of about $2.08 per item, which is definitely reasonable in my book. Since all of the items aren't readily available in the States, I can't give a completely accurate value judgement, but I would definitely pay $25 for this box!

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

Coffee Crisp is so good!

There wouldn’t happen to be a box like this with American snacks would there? As a Canadian who has never been to the U.S I would love to try some of your snacks we don’t have!

Also sometimes I think about how I’d like to move to another country one day but when I remember a lot of countries don’t have coffee crisps and cadbury chocolates I decide against it! My grandfather worked for Cadbury when I was a kid so we always had ridiculous amounts of chocolate at Easter.

This looks amazing. I have a guy friend that is in the air force that was born in Canada but raised in the states after a certain age whom holds on to some of his canadian roots so this would be the perfect gift for him.

Sometimes I feel like I might be a Canadian stereotype… I bought 7 of those items on my last grocery trip 😛 I’m glad that my staple items are getting some love 🙂 Ketchup chips are the best, try another brand if you get the chance.

Now just to find a way to get Take 5 chocolate bars up here… 🙂

Haha I saw the review come through and said “I wonder if the All Dressed will be in there?” My husband got a bag for me a while back and I became obsessed! I googled about them because I was like where the heck did these come from.
I find it weird there are no Canadian restaurants in the lower 48.
In S. Korea you can find quite a few there.

We have the Kooky Canuck in Memphis, TN! I had my first taste of pouting there…so good!

Sounds interesting:) I went to Canada about 25 years ago and they had vinegar for your fries. Even had little packets at the fast food place(can’t remember if it was McD’s or BK). But we do have the ketchup chips here at our Walmart in the Philly burbs.

OK. These snacks look fun. Speaking of Poutine you can sometimes find it up here but I’m much closer to Canada than you are (so maybe that’s why). I also used to get gravy and cheese on my fries in high school when I lived on the East Coast. It wasn’t marketed as poutine though.

Fun box. And I know someone who would love those ketchup chips. I am seriously considering this box.

Hi Loba – if your friend likes Ketchup Chips, we wanted to let you know that we also have a box that is just Ketchup Chips. That’s right…6 bags of Ketchup Chips, monthly. It’s a bit cheaper too – $18 with shipping included to anywhere in the USA.

Have a great day eh!
