Each Fun Fly Fabulous box includes a note from the founder. This month’s theme is “New Beginnings”.

Coriander & Bergamot Body Butter (4oz) – Value $12.00

Coriander & Bergamot Body Polish-Stress Relief (8oz) – Value $17.00

The Coriander & Bergamot is not available on Soleil Essentials website, so I have linked to similar items.

Here’s a closer look at the body butter and ingredients. I sampled a small amount on my dry hand and it left my skin moisturized, soft and smooth. I was shocked at how there was product missing from the jar when I opened! After sampling I realized the jar wasn’t sealed.

And here’s a closer look at the body scrub and ingredients. The body scrub came sealed and left my skin smooth and soft. The directions indicated applying the scrub onto clean wet skin to buff and exfoliate. I love how this made my skin feel and how I didn’t need to apply cream or lotion.  I commend the founder, Angela on starting a business with all natural, plant-based or organic ingredients with pure essentials oils that are cold pressed or infused.

Hand Milled Soap-Flower Power (3.5oz) – Value $6.53

The soap arrived with the plastic wrap torn off on the corners and the black, crinkled tissue from the box imprinted on the side of the soap, so I did not try this on my skin. It smells nice, though.

Soy Candle in Blackberry – Value?

This is an all natural, hand poured soy candle with a lovely scent. Their website says its “highly scented” and can be used as massage oil. Sadly when lit, the aroma wasn’t strong. Maybe I need to burn longer.

White Mesh Sponge – Value $3.00?

The bath sponge was a typical mesh and appropriate for this box. Unfortunately this also arrived with what looks like blank crinkled paper residue, so I also did not try this.

I contacted customer service about the overall condition of the box and they confirmed they will be sending me a “complimentary box of variety of items” since I was not satisfied. This is the second month in a row with product issues (side note: the lip/cheek stain from last month’s box were replaced).

Verdict: The Fun Fly Fabulous box has a value of $39.00, just barely over the subscription cost. I applaud them on their monthly themes and seeking out products from women entrepreneurs to match. I am concerned with their product quality control and ensuring products from various vendors are neat, clean, intact and sealed. Fun Fly Fabulous is not matching their name and I am disappointed with this month’s box.

What did you think of the August Fun Fly Fabulous box?

  1. While I agree that it’s disappointing to have things arrive in not new condition but with the soap and the sponge I don’t understand why you wouldn’t just wash them off? I agree that overall the contents don’t match the idea/theme of the box nor is it a great value. I wouldn’t subscribe to this one. It may be time to let it go :-/

    • I was upset with the other items and when I saw the small dots on the loofah sponge I was upset. I did soak to get the black dots off loofah sponge so I can use. I felt that since the wrapper/ was off the soap I felt best not to use. Thanks for your feedback!

      • I wouldn’t have used it either! It’s one thing if it’s a home decor item or even an accessory of some type. And while mistakes can definitely happen, products that are used to clean yourself shouldn’t arrive needing to be cleaned…themselves. 😉

  2. I don’t see how this is a “lifestyle” sub at all. It’s a beauty sub with a candle. I get better quality control and presentation when ordering from random sellers on Amazon!

  3. Yikes. Upon first glance of the outer box and theme I was really intrigued…. at risk of being a total Debbie Downer, the packaging of the products is really subpar and the amount of presentation issues is a turn-off. If they had amazing, stylishly earthy labels and sold this as a natural/handmade products they *might* be able to get away with it….

  4. I have been watching your reviews on this, and so far I am not tempted. The product issues aside, if I am purchasing a “lifestyle” box, i would not expect it to be so beauty heavy. I sub to other beauty boxes and there are other boxes with all natural products. I would expect no more that 1 to 2 beauty products per box and a variety of other items. I will stick with popsugar for similar pricing, but much more variety and bang for the buck. Even if I don’t always care for everything in the box, usually I find enough items to equal the value of the box, and the rest I can gift or swap.
