  1. I got the May box yesterday but I ordered a total of 3 boxes (2 May and 1 October). I’m hoping the other two come this week. Looks like they paid quite a bit in shipping, too.

  2. I ordered some of the close out boxes (April, May and 3 Festival boxes). I received the Festival boxes today with a note that my others were backordered. It seems strange that closeout items would be backordered.

    Did anyone else order the Festival box? I was wondering if there was any variation for the jamberry nail stickers? All three of mine were Champagne Toast, but the photo for the box showed a different variety that was teal and navy.

  3. My card was charged for four boxes and I received an emai over a week ago , anyone received a pkg yet?

  4. You know – I’m wondering if they’re rebranding this box. I’ve personally noticed over the past 6 months or so this box get really good reviews and many people comment how it’s a good box for everyone not just WOC which the box right now seems to be marketed to (I guess?).

    It would make sense to put out a great box like this, step back until the new year and come back with a, “From the people who brought you Essence now check out blah blah box”. People would look back at this and might be inclined to subscribe.

  5. I’m really happy with this Sept box! The Zoya Polish is so nice, and the extra bonus brushes were a perfect parting gift. I’m going to miss this sub!

    I received 2of the 3 extra boxes I ordered- but no email about being wait listed for the 3rd box. I’m hoping it comes in tomorrow.

    The boxes were up for special sale a couple days before MSA posted about it. I read about it from an Instagram account that I follow. I’m a regular subscriber and did get an email about them being on sale- but it was I think at least a day after I had already put in my order.

    They must have sold out especially since the pricing was so reasonable.

    • When you received 2 of the 3 boxes, did you happen to get a tracking email or did it just show up?

      • No email & no tracking- at least I don’t think so. I use a different email for my subs and I’m lazy about checking it.
        They auto delete after 5 days because I hate dealing with crap email.
        They all sell our emails- but I’m sure I did a quick scan of email headers and don’t recall anything from them except more info on the box sale itself.
        Sorry I can’t help more- I’m still waiting on my 3rd box tho. They are shipping them cause my neighbor ordered a bunch and I saw hers on her porch ( I may have peeked just to be certain none were mine?)!

  6. I ordered over a week ago and still have not received an email about my order being shipped or anything. Has anyone gotten their boxes yet?

    • I ordered each box from October to February. Today I received the October & November boxes (no shipping email was sent), and I received emails stating my orders were on hold for the December – February boxes. I noticed the February (and November) box isn’t even showing up on their site anymore, so I’m thinking it sold out, and I may not get it. I’m okay with that. The boxes I received today were really nice!

    • I never received any shipping notice, but I did get my (incorrect) order today. I ended up with 3 of the exact same box instead of what I actually ordered.

      • As a follow up (just got off the phone with customer service).

        If you placed multiple orders with the same BILLING address (even with different shipping address), make sure you have the order number of the one you’re calling about! I was told that they are working to get my backordered April box out to me ASAP and they are sending the December box I should have gotten instead of an additional October. She also said I could keep the extra box.

        I was on hold for a while about 15 minutes before I got through, but the CS rep I spoke with was extremely helpful.

  7. What a great box, I’ve never seen Zoya polish in a subscription. Kicking myself for missing out on this one!

    • Just got mine today and the brushes came in this cute little bag! What a wonderful surprise! This last box was totally great. Hope they figure it out and restart this sub ?

  9. I had SUCH high hopes for this box and loved it every month I received. Quit a few months ago because of financial reasons.

    So, when the past boxes went on sale I bought 2 of the (I think May??) ones because I wanted the No Poo Spray hee hee. Anyway, the other day I got the ODDEST email, very blocky letters, thought it was spam at first, no way did it identify who it was, just said “singlecopy at customerservice dot com” WEIRD. Just super odd.

    Said the following:

    • I got this same message so I called essence and they told me that as of right now my order was processing. They told me at the moment they are trying to fill all of the orders, but due to high demand they don’t know yet if they are going to be able to fulfill everyone’s order. She said there is a chance that it may be out of stock which is why they sent that email. So honestly I don’t even know if I’m getting my order or not… plus it’s strange because all the past boxes were still up on their site last I checked. If they think they’ll have trouble fulfilling all orders, they should stop taking more orders till they know.

      • I had a previous experience with this company that left me feeling a bit of unease. I hope all goes well for everyone that ordered from them, but I would say at least buyer beware!

    • I got the same email too and it’s ridiculous to me. I really think they should stop taking orders. I ordered the day before the store officially opened, so I hope I get everything. My credit card hasn’t been charged though. I want the boxes I ordered, but assume demand was high. The September box is great though!

    • Thanks for posting this. I saw the email but ignored it because it looked like spam. I’m a bit disappointed. I ordered one of each of the scarves because I thought they would look great framed. Oh well.

      • Update 9/19: Just received my order! I was never sent a shipping email or tracking number so I didn’t know it was coming. I had pretty much given up on it. The scarves are lovely. They’re a little big, but I think I can still fold them in a way to display the best parts in frames. Thank you Essence!

    • I got the same email, only I have already been charged for my box! If you don’t have the product ready to send, why did you charge my card?

      • I got the same email. Why offer if you cannot fulfill orders? How do you overshoot your inventory that much?

    • Got this same email, for 5 boxes that I ordered. What really ticks me off is that the same boxes are still listed as available on their website!!! Grrrrrrr. Talk about unscrupulous business practices…no wonder they’re going out of business!

        • Haha 😀 I would die if Conde Nast was the parent company of Essence. That would explain their lack of planning on these closeout boxes.

      • When I checked it looked like there were several of the boxes that weren’t there anymore…because I was going to order November but it wasn’t there.
