May & June Tumen Bracelet - Value $60
This bracelet is a delicate piece that is plated with gold. The leaves are made of French-born lamb leather. I really like how simple this bracelet is, it is light and comfortable to wear. The leather leaf shapes (in yellow and gold) add an extra touch and subtle bit of color. The bracelet has a short chain and necklace clasp that wasn't too difficult to close on my own.
You can see here how the chain detaches. I was able to slide the whole bracelet over my hand while clasped. The bracelet metal is thin but not malleable, which speaks to its quality. This isn't an item I would have picked for myself but I really like the look and feel of it on. I think the delicate style of this bracelet pairs so well with the larger statement necklaces I wear on a daily basis.
I have small wrists but larger arms and I like how this bracelet falls when my arm is raised. The gold adds a touch of class to my minimalist personal style.
La Gazette N0. 39 September - Emma & Chloe
This subscription also comes with a short magazine that tells you more about the jewelry selected for this month along with profile on the designer. It also includes fashion tips and a brief article about what to do in a weekend in Paris.
The magazine shows different versions of the bracelet in gold and silver. The silver version of the bracelet is deep coated in a silver bath.
This article talks about May And June and has a short interview with Audrey, the brand's owner who makes all the jewelry herself.
Verdict: I was pleasantly surprised by this subscription. The bracelet is something I probably wouldn't have purchased for myself but I've been wearing it on a daily basis. It is well-made and feels like it is worth its $50 retail value. And at $35 per month, the value feels pretty good. I'm excited to see what I will receive next month!
