Cypress and 5th is a new women’s clothing subscription service. Each month their stylists put together a “dressing room” for you in your account based on your style, and you get to select 2-3 pieces (one top, bottom, and accessory or one dress and accessory).
Good to know: it’s easy to opt-out any month you’d like.

Must Have Off the Shoulder Top – value: $35?
This top is so dreamy. I’ve noticed that off-the-shoulder is back in but I haven’t found the right shirt to make me want to try it. When I saw this top I couldn’t resist. My favorite part is that it has spaghetti straps – other off-the-shoulder tops I’ve seen look tight at the shoulders to keep it on/in place. These straps also make it so I can try to get away with wearing a bra with nude or clear straps. I also love the print and the accent at the top. Bonus: I can see this pairing great with an edgy leather moto jacket for the fall.
Cielo Jeans Black Skinnies – value: $40?
These jeans are okay. They fit alright except at my knees? Which I didn’t really know is a thing – I haven’t run into that issue before. I guess the way they’re tapered or shaped just doesn’t work for my shape and I’m left with some awkward knee bunching. Also, they’re a short inseam for me so I cuffed them once. I can make the length work but the fit is just funky for me.
Multi-Colored Tassel Stretch Necklace – value: $28?
This necklace is great! I wouldn’t have put all these colors together but I actually love it. Tassels are usually too boho for me but with this necklace I think it’s so cute. Plus they’re all on an elastic string so you can double it as a shorter necklace or you can wrap it multiple times and wear it as a bracelet.
And the colors (especially the lighter peach color that is also in the tassel) go pretty well with the top.
And here’s how it looks worn as a bracelet. It’s different for my tastes but I think its super fun and I don’t have anything like it already.
Verdict: Overall, I’m happy with my Cypress and 5th picks for August, but I wish the jeans fit a little better. I think I can make them work though (especially maybe with some tall Fall Boots) so I’m not too bummed. I am, however, thrilled with a pretty trendy top and cute necklace that are both a little out of my comfort zone but I love on. As far as value goes, I got what I estimate to be about $103 in value. You can also think about it as $24.93 per item (from the $74.95 cost of the box), which I am also happy with!
