French Rose Clay Handmade Soap (3.75 oz) – Value $6
Clay soap is so good for my skin – I was happy to get this. Also, although I generally don’t wear rose as a fragrance, I love it in bath products. (As a rule, I am happy with the soaps from BPure box. They don’t irritate my skin and they don’t make the shower floor slippery.) This particular soap wasn’t in the Beautifly Pure shop, so I gave it the same value as their other soaps.
Here is a different view of the soap. I love the rose petals!
100% Soy Pineapple Mango Wax Tart (2.25 oz) – Value $6 (?)
I recently bought an electric tart warmer for my office (they are all about energy efficiency in the building, which sometimes makes it stinky when I get here on Monday mornings after no air circulation all weekend). So this has gone to work with me. It smells amazing (more pineapple than mango to me, but definitely good). There aren’t any wax tarts available in the BPure shop right now, but this is a fair amount larger than the one I received in the May box, so I’ve increased the value a bit.
Young + Glowing Facial Oil (0.5 oz) – Value $8 (?)
This has pumpkin seed oil, rice bran oil, and vitamin E, as well as a bit of lemongrass oil, which provides a natural scent. I have discovered that I can use facial oils if I exfoliate regularly, and I am almost completely out of the one I was using in the evening. So this arrived right in time. It only takes a few drops to completely cover your face, so this will last for a long time. (This one is also exclusive to the box so I had to guess at the value.)
Here’s a closer look at the tart.
Geranium Bath Tea Bag (1.5 oz) – Value $4 (?)
Bath products are pretty common in Bpure box, but you don’t get overwhelmed with them. There’s one or maybe two per box. Definitely possible to use up in a month, even if you don’t take baths too often. This one has pink Himalayan salt, oatmeal, and dried flowers, and it smells really good. (Husband’s paint supplies are still in the bathtub so I’m going to start pestering him to get things cleaned up so I can actually use this…)
Verdict: I estimated a value of about $24 for the August BPure Box. Since all of the items are exclusive to the subscription box, I could be a little off in either direction. However, for an indie bath/body type of subscription box with cruelty free products, I definitely feel the value is there (those often run a little low so it is nice to see one break even or better). I can (and will) use every single item in the box and I like that you get a little bit of soap but not so much you can never use it up.
What did you think of the August BPure Box? Do you get any soap or bath subscriptions?
