Skinfood Black Sugar Strawberry Wash-Off Mask - $12

If you had previously received the Skinfood Black Sugar Mask, then PinkSeoul added an extra slip explaining that you'll receive the Strawberry version instead. I'm impressed that they put so much thought into their curation to make sure subscribers didn't get a repeat of the mask!

This is an exfoliating wash-off mask and scrub. This strawberry version is a bit different from the original-- it contains strawberry seeds and has a more spreadable consistency. It looks and smells like strawberry jam! I know for a fact that I can put this in the kitchen with other jams and my boyfriend would use it on toast. Because it is thinner than the original Back Sugar mask, it's less abrasive while giving me the same soft, smooth skin after use. I love this so much!

Mediheal French Rose Flowater Gel Mask - $5

This is a two-piece hydrogel mask that contains French rose powder, collagen, and hyaluronic acid. You can see rose petal pieces embedded within the gel, and it smells like roses. It's a little difficult to apply since these pieces are slippery, but it feels great when applied. My face is very hydrated after use and the essence does not feel sticky at all.

Goodal Premium Snail Tone-Up Hydrogel Mask - $10

I received this in the July/August PinkSeoul Plus Box and thought it was a nice two-piece mask with plenty of nice essence. Key ingredients include snail secretion filtrate, niacinamide, ginseng extract, and hyaluronic acid. The slippery gel does make for a finicky masking experience, but the result is hydrated, plump skin. I'm not a huge fan though because it feels sticky after use.

SOC Animal Panda Whitening Sheet Mask - $3

This is a mask with a panda face printed on top. The fragrance is pleasant. The mask quality isn't anything to write home about-- it's a little stiff so it cannot hold as much essence. However, the residual essence did not feel sticky at all and decreased overall redness on my face. Plus, I don't mind form over function once in a while.

Mediheal Mask Dress Code Red (Ginseng) - $3

This sheet mask is made to look like a masquerade ball mask and it is beautiful! It contains ginseng, which improves skin elasticity, wrinkles, and skin tone. The mask itself is nothing to sneeze at either-- it feels soft, fits well, and holds plenty of essence. I felt minimal stickiness afterwards. Overall, a great sheet mask!

Mediheal Mogongtox Soda Bubble Sheet - $4

This mask holds slippery essence and only covers the lower half of my face. It bubbles continuously for at least 15 minutes. My face felt very soft and smooth after washing off all the bubbly essence. I think this is a convenient and mess-free way to get your bubbling mask fix if you're not into the clay mask type!

The Face Shop Lemon Sheet Mask (Brightening) - $2

The Face Shop Mung Bean Sheet Mask (Pores) - $2

These two masks are from The Face Shop. The lemon one contains lemon essence, which is high in Vitamin C, and helps brighten the skin. The mung bean one helps tighten and purify pores. Overall, the mask fit is nice and the fragrance smells pleasant. I especially like that my face only feels minimally sticky from the essence. It's an affordable line of masks, too.

Skinfood Everyday Tomato Sheet Mask - $2

Skinfood Everyday Green Tea Sheet Mask - $2

These Skinfood masks highlight various food ingredients. The Tomato mask helps purify and smooth the skin, while the Green Tea mask firms and gives nutrients to the skin. The sheets have a subtle wavy texture to them and is slightly thicker than usual masks. The fit is ok and the essence can be slightly sticky. My boyfriend tried the tomato one and complained that it started feeling cold to the point of hurting his skin, but I did not experience this with mine.

Tosowoong Propolis Sheet Mask - $2

This is a great sheet mask discovery. It smells faintly (and deliciously) of honey. The cotton mask is cooling on my skin but does not hurt. After removing the mask, the essence absorbed into skin with minimal stickiness. This is a simple but superb mask! I think people who like thin masks and minimal fragrance would appreciate this.

Tonymoly Banana Hand Milk sample

This is a hand cream sample that doesn't smell like fresh bananas but rather banana candies. It's yummy either way!

The Face Shop Chia Seed No Shine Intensive Hydrating Cream sample

This is a lightweight lotion with a soft fragrance and nice slip. It doesn't feel tacky and makes for a great nighttime face cream.

Verdict: PinkSeoul always knows how to curate an amazing sheet mask selection. My favorite discoveries are the Skinfood Black Sugar Strawberry Wash-Off Mask and the Tosowoong Propolis mask. The total retail value is $47, which is well over the cost of the box. I am, as always, a big fan of this subscription!

I only have one sheet mask that I haven’t used, and 2 or 3 other masks in their cute packaging, but I’m fascinated by them, and want to get more! (I tried one, but it was a peel off, and I didn’t understand how to peel it off at first!)

Nancy, since you try so many, do you use one a day? Do you see any results the next couple of days, or is it much more temporary?

I’m also wondering if Nancy uses them daily – I enjoy a good mask (sheet or otherwise) once a week, but I’m wondering if I should be doing them more?

I LOVE collecting them, haha – I’m always tempted to sign up for this sub but I’m not sure I’d go through them quick enough to warrant it.

Donna & Amber, I use masks several times a week. I do have an extensive mask stash though and wear them whenever I find time!

Most of the results I get like complexion brightening or soft/plump skin are immediate but temporary. Some decrease my skin redness for a day, some help chemically exfoliate– it largely depends on what type I use. Long term, they have slowly improved my skin hydration. Overall though it’s the same as any other skincare item– if I want noticeable differences I have to be consistent with usage. Hope this answers your question!

I love that your boyfriend tried one of the masks! I don’t think I could ever convince mine to, although he does “steal” my self-tanner/bronzing lotion for his face haha!

It took some persuading 🙂 That’s funny! If only my bf “steals” face wash and moisturizer more often!

Great review! I’m happy to read your thought on the propolis mask. I’ve wanted to try that one. I love both of the Mediheal masks and use them fairly regularly.

I just did a bubble sheet mask (from a different brand) for the first time last night. It was a brightening version, and I loved the results & it was really fun to use! My skin looked so glowing & even. I’m so curious behind the science of how it works.

The only thing was that the English instructions I found said to continue massaging the residual until it was fully absorbed. After about 30 seconds of doing this the residual just kept getting more soapy, so I finally decided to rinse it off, but felt like I was missing something. After reading your review, I’m glad rinsing it off wasn’t the wrong thing to do. 🙂

Loved this box ! I had a few variations but thought they did such a good job. I received the black sugar mask and loved it, my face felt so soft! I might have to try the strawberry one when it’s finished. I am excited to try that bubble mask 🙂 Also, I love that you can choose how often you want to receive the box. Great review !
