ZBox August 2016 - 3

Each month, ZBox will have a theme around their box. This month’s theme was Invasion.

ZBox August 2016 - 1-2

Each month also comes with a mini magazine. Inside you’ll find details about each item in the box along with short stories and interviews.

ZBox August 2016 - 7

Invasion Shirt – Value $15?

This month’s exclusive shirt is by a UK artist Boneface. Their shirts will also echo the inner lid art – which has been some really cool and unique stuff over the past 3-4 months – I’m really enjoying that. This month throws a ton of different Alien incarnations against some unfortunate cowboys. I love seeing the Mars Attacks! aliens represented!

ZBox August 2016 - 4

Alien Titan Vinyl 2-Pack – Value $10.99 on Amazon

This month also features a Titan vinyl figure, well, 2 vinyl figures – Alien and Ripley. I’ve received a couple different versions of this two pack in other geek boxes – as well as many different versions of the Alien Titan, big and small, but I still love the build of the Alien Titan – so I can add another to the collection.

ZBox August 2016 - 5

Weeping Angel Wacky Wobbler – Value $7.99 on Amazon

The next item is from Doctor Who – it’s a Funko Wacky Wobbler Weeping Angel statue – say that ten times fast! These humanoids can only attack when you’re not looking away – so keep eye contact with the statue!

ZBox August 2016 - 6

Warcraft Bleacher Creature – Value About $10 on Amazon

The final item is Warcraft plush from Bleacher Creatures. I’ve never been a fan of the Bleacher Creatures line of plush toys, and most plush toys in general, so this was the main miss of the month for me.

Verdict: This month was an ok month of ZBox for me. I wasn’t really excited for any of the items, but there were a couple of fun items. This statue and the Alien 2-pack are fun items, but nothing that I’d be buying normally. I do feel that ZBox has some of the strong exclusive shirts going for them – they’ve had some great artwork recently, and they don’t look like stopping – so that’s a major positive for me.

What did you think about the August ZBox?
