8:16 Tie – Value $24

My husband and I both really liked this tie. I was so happy to see yellow! Ties are always red, blue, or green, and I love when they get bolder with non-traditional colors!

8:16 Pocket Square – Value $14

My husband and I both liked this pocket square a lot, too. It’s a nice color for August! The only issue is that we both felt that the tie and square don’t go together well. We recognize that they both have the exact same colors in them, but I think the yellow and blue in the tie tend to trick the eye into thinking greenish because the colors are so integrated in the design. The square, on the other hand, has more blue and this particular shade of blue has almost a purplish cast. They didn’t look great together, to us at least.

Verdict: VictoryBox is awesome, and we love receiving it every month! This month we both really liked both pieces, just maybe not together. The value this month is also very solid – $38 for $16! That’s great!
