Taster's Club is a subscription that sends a new bottle of “must have” liquor to your door every month.
When you sign up for a subscription, you decide what kind of alcohol you’d like to receive. The following clubs are available: Whisky, Bourbon, Scotch, Scotch Pro, Rum, Tequila, and Tequila Pro. This is a review of the Scotch Club.

The Subscription Box: Taster's Club
The Cost: $79 per month + shipping for the Scotch Club (Shipping to DC was an additional $15.) Note that the price differs between clubs.
The Products: A different bottle of liquor every month. (My shipments feature Scotch because I joined the “Scotch Club.”)
A note about shipping: Taster's Club does not list the US states to which they ship on their website. Most alcohol subscription companies are unable to ship to all 50 states due to alcohol shipping restrictions, so I’m uncertain whether Taster's Club is able to ship nationwide or not.

Tamdhu 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch- $66.99
This month’s Scotch is a single malt from Tamdhu, a Speyside distillery that’s been around for over 120 years.
This 10 year old single malt is aged in sherry casks, and the distiller pinpoints notes of “sweet marzipan, toasted nuts… vanilla… warm cinnamon, oak, and a modest hint of peat smoke.” This Scotch smells so good I didn’t want to stop sniffing it! I could definitely pick out the aromas of vanilla and spice.
This is my first time sampling Tamdhu Scotch, and I’m so impressed. In the glass, it’s smooth, sweet, super rich, and tastes like vanilla, buttery caramel, and dried fruit.
This is a Scotch I would certainly pour for company. I think it’s delicious and definitely a crowd pleaser.
The Verdict: I’m really happy that Taster's Club introduced me to a new distillery this month, and I love the bottle I received. I’m also pleased with the supplemental information I received via email. In terms of value, this month’s box came in pretty significantly below the subscription cost. I haven’t been subscribing long enough to see whether or not the value will balance out over time, but so far it’s looking like this is not a high value (or even a break even) subscription.
