My Paper + Pen subscription arrived in a bubble mailing envelope. All of the items were nicely wrapped in tissue paper when I opened it.

Pineapple Tote Bag – $10.00?

This tote bag is made from 100% cotton. The pineapple on the front looks to be printed on, so that means it should wash better than a press on decal! It is a pretty decent size: 16.5 by 15.25 inches. I really like this, and think it’s an excellent item to add for a summertime box! I think I’ll pack this one for when I go to Belize as a carryall to the beach!

Junebei Just For You Notebook – $5.00?

This notebook is really cute, with a citrus printed cover, and lined pages with the date and page number at the top. Again, this is a really cute item for summer, and would work well for keeping track of notes at work or school.

Summer Weekend Beach Party Stickers – $3.00?

These stickers are really cute. There are 10 different prints and quite a few stickers. These would be really cute in a summertime scrapbook or used on invitations, note cards, or post cards!

Filhfio Watermelon White Out Pen – $2.00?

This little slice of watermelon is a white out pen. It works really well and is really cute. With school starting soon for many, this would be a great little pick-me-up for all those notes, papers, and home work assignments that need a little white out.

Verdict: This was a really nice month for Paper + Pen. Generally, I really like all of the items included, but the value seems a little on the low side. This month, I think it was definitely worth the cost of the box. Each item would come out to about $5.00 each, and I am happy with that value. The tote bag alone is definitely more than $5.00, and will work great for farmer’s markets, shopping trips, and beach trips!

Have you tried Paper + Pen yet?

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane…the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane…but she’s always looking for a new subscription to try!

  1. I’m not sure what you mean by white-out pen. Is it an actual pen, or do you mean one of those white tape dispensers you drag?

The tote is closer to $5 than $10, imo.

The idea of this box is good, but they have to decide who their market is. There are SO many freelance artists & writers who have pen & paper with us at all times, but stickers are for kids! And how about a REAL pen, box? So many great inexpensive art pens, and so many cool desk things, especially from Asia (even though I sometimes boycott them because of their hate policies towards animals.)
