The bag came with this information card, which included directions for each product (many of the labels did not have much English so this was helpful) as well as the products’ intended effects.

Shiseido Super Mild Conditioner (50 mL) – Value $1.90

My hair soaked this up. Usually that is a bad sign. I used this for a few days and then had my hair dyed. My stylist asked if I was using any different products lately or if my hair was just frizzy and tangled from the humidity. That’s probably a sign that this is not the product for me! (I’m having trouble finding ingredients for this one.)

Etude House Styling Twist Eyeliner (full size!) – Value $3.08

This was another miss for me this month. While it had great staying power and was non-irritating, 2 mm of the tip broke off when I tried to swatch it and it pulled on my eyelids a lot when I tried to put it on.

Note: A lot of bloggers I found when I searched these products loved both, so I may just be hard to please.

Loverecipe Broccoli Mask – Value $2.50

I was a big fan of this. It fit my face well and was super hydrating. It has broccoli extract, which has lots of antioxidants and vitamins, plus hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a carbohydrate polymer that holds on to a lot of water and thus is somewhat moisturizing as well as potentially having an effect on fine lines. It also has chamomile, which is soothing, and allantoin, which is good for irritated, rough skin.

AC Clean Up Pink Powder Mask from Etude House (20 mL) – Value $2.40

This was also excellent. Although it has more fragrance than I would like, I love clay masks and I really feel this did a good job absorbing excess oil. It can be used overnight as a spot treatment (though I didn’t try this as I was having a good skin day). This has vitamin E (an antioxidant, and good for moisturizing as well) and calamine (yeah, the same stuff as in calamine lotion!), which is obviously great to combat itchiness, plus it is a mild antiseptic and astringent. I am pretty sure this is pink due to the calamine, which often has a tiny amount of iron compounds in it.

Note: Etude House really needs to get someone to clean up their website. The product information for this was for some moisturizer. I’ve found other wrong descriptions there before, as well.

Mizon Water Volume Aqua Gel Cream (45 mL) – Value $11.52

This is a great texture for a summer moisturizer. I tried it in the morning and at night and it works somewhat better for me at night (under makeup, it made me a bit oily midday). It’s nice getting something in a large size like this – you really get a chance to see if it works. This is oil free and has some plant and herbal extracts that will be provide lots of vitamins and antioxidants, plus it has witch hazel which is often used as an astringent. It also has a lot of minerals from glacial water, deep sea water, etc.

Here’s a swatch of the eyeliner.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $21.40 for the August 2016 Miss Tutii TutiiBag. That’s more than $6 over the cost of the subscription. Although two of the products (eyeliner and conditioner) weren’t hits for me, I do appreciate the chance to try them. And I did like both masks as well as the aqua gel cream. In my mind, this is a pretty consistently good subscription.

I was thinking about getting this because these products look awesome! I went to check it out on the site and there’s two different options for skin type. So if you don’t mind, which type did you put down? I’m assuming they get different things. Thanks!

Ragan

I put down the “oily” one (it might be “oily/combination”).

The coupon code did not work for me. 🙁

Ragan

I notice it is FIRSTMASK so I wonder if it only works on the mask subscription?

My September TutiiBag should be here in a week so when I submit that review, I’ll try to remember to mention the coupon issue so that the person who coordinates coupons can check on it.

Do you review the Miss Tutti Mask Bag subscription? I’ve been getting that for 2 months now and I absolutely LOVE it!! 🙂

Ragan

I normally do, and I like it as well. This month they ran out and couldn’t send me one to review. I hope to get back to it next month.

Hi Ragan, I receive the Miss Tutti box. I received a few more items than what you got in the bag. I this has turned out to be one of my favorite K-beauty boxes because I do end up using almost everything in it.

I love that you give a detailed description of benefits of the ingredients in products. I learn something new every time I read one of your reviews ?
