The box came with a booklet that told me more about the products included with tips on how to use them. The rest of the booklet recommends other beauty products sold by Look Fantastic.

This month's theme is SummerLovin:
"This month's box has been packed with products to get your skin and hair in the mood for some sunshine."

Bellapierre Lip and Cheek Stain .176 oz, Value $18

This is a baby pink lip and cheek stain with a creamy formula. I like this better as a cream blush than as a lip stain because it's such a light pink. The color suits my fair skin very well and I like that it doesn't have shimmer. I did notice that it has a very light scent that reminds me of IKEA. Guys, I've spent a lot of time in IKEA. (Scroll down for a swatch!)

Benefit Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil in Shade 06 Deep  .11g, Value $8

I've heard good things about Benefit's brow products and was excited to see this in this month's box. They sent the darkest color, which is way too dark for me. The pencil has a unique chisel shape that lets you draw fine lines with the point and the fill in your brow with the larger side. It was easy to work with and stays put for 12 hours! Even though it is a waterproof formula, my makeup wipes removed it easily - glad I wouldn't have to scrub this off! The full-size of this product comes with a spoolie on one end.

Here is the brow pencil swatched. I drew some fine lines and then used the wider tip for more coverage. The Bellepierre lip and cheek stain is swatched below the eye pencil.

Kebelo Silk Anti-Frizz Cream Serum .52 fl oz, Value $7

This sample sized product doesn't include directions for use so I guessed that I should put it in my hair before drying - I was right! Sometimes you just have to go for it. It's been so humid this summer, I'm down for anything that will make my hair smoother and less frizzy. I noticed my hair was shinier and silkier after drying and required less smoothing with my straightener. I am a fan! The product provides heat protection and is said to lock in color.

Nuxe Multi-Purpose Dry Oil .33 fl oz, Value $5.40

This is such a neat product! The gold flecks feel so luxe and the fragrance smells 100% like summer. It is great for adding a warm glow to skin for those of us who don't self-tan. I don't like all-over shimmer on my face so I won't use it there, but I'm down for trying this in my hair.

This Works In Transit Camera Close-up .68 fl oz, Value $20.65

I used this after my regular face moisturizer because it says it works as a mask, moisturizer, and primer in one. It definitely had that primer feel that lets you know make up is going to stick to it pretty well. I used a lightweight foundation on top and it blended well and lasted most of the day! It did some oil control but as usual, my oily face conquers all.

Miti Bobbles - set of 3 Value

Throwback phone cord donuts! My hair is finally long enough to pull back (not on purpose, I'm super late on getting a hair appointment) and they're very comfortable. I have very fine hair that usually kinks pretty quickly from hair ties but these left my hair unkinked. I wouldn't wear these out of the house but I will use them to pull my hair back when I wash my face.

Elle UK Magazine July 2016 Value $6

If you read my review of the June Look Fantastic box, you'll remember that I like tiny magazines. I don't subscribe to any fashion magazines so I enjoy getting this one along with everything in the box.

LookFantasticJuly-007 LookFantasticJuly-008

The Verdict: This month's box has a value of about $68 which is good for a $22 box. My favorite product (and the Editor's Pick) was the ThisWorks In Transit Camera Close-up. It's a higher value sample and I love trying new primers. I also really like the Nuxe Multi-Purpose Dry Oil and the Kebelo Silk Anti-Frizz Cream. Finding 3 hits out of a box like this is a definite win! The brow pencil wasn't the right shade for me but made me feel more confident about picking the right shade up in a store. Overall I think this is another strong box from Look Fantastic - this is a great box for discovering new, higher-end beauty products.

This month was a bit underwhelming for me, maybe the box was huge compared to small items in the box. But in general I have enjoyed this box and my year sub ends in September. I didn’t renew due to product overload, but I will continue to follow the review and who knows I might re-sub, lol!

I just finished my six month subscription and realize that I like and use the contents of this sub much more than either Allure or the Sephora box. I didn’t realize it until I sat down with all my daily products and it occurred to me that nothing I’m using comes from either of those boxes! Maybe I’ll sign back up to LookFantastic (I feel like they may have shorted me a box somewhere) now that MSA is writing a monthly review. I find it easier to keep track of my subs when i can cross reference them here.

Really like this sub. August will be my 4th month. It is already on the way. Like getting diff skin care samples I have never heard of. Also, love the boxes. I use them to store my nail polishes and other beauty products I’m not using yet. Think I’m going to get their 2016 Advent Calendar too. Last year’s looked pretty good.

I am VERY interested in this box. For some reason, it fascinates me.

My only disappointment in this box is that there were no products like the Cow Pat cream last time. 🙂

.

I was going to subscribe – if they charged us in pounds. But when I converted it, it was higher. My credit card doesnt charge international fees so would get it if they charged in their local currency.

I’m so glad Look Fantastic is being reviewed now! I got this sub for a whole year and had mixed feelings, so it’s nice to keep up to see if I ever want to resubscribe.

I signed up last month and am pleased so far. I was concerned how international shipping would work but the box arrived in good shape and in a reasonable time period.

I just signed up as well and am looking forward to this subscription. Unfortunately, I realized immediately that my zip code was incorrect and it took two full days (and two browsers) of constant attempts to correct the account settings. By that time the box had shipped. So there’s a strong chance my first box will disappear in transit. Replies from customer service were vague and felt straight out of a script. I’m trying not to get discouraged but I hope it’s smoother sailing from now on.

Trish, customer service was one of the negatives of this sub. When I placed my order last year, I too had an incorrect address and back then you were not even able to go into your account to fix it, nor could CS fix it on their end which I found very strange. CS told me sorry, the address can’t be changed, my only choice was to cancel and resub. I had used a bunch of coupons that brought my price down to under $15 a box, so didn’t want to risk losing that deal if I cancelled. So, I left the addy as it was, and luckily got all my boxes. But the subpar CS definitely influenced my decision not to resub.

Mary – Yes it sounds like they need to improve the tech side of things. Changing an address in settings should be a fairly automated process and not need human intervention. It’s a little surprising an international business doesn’t have their website running efficiently. Im going to hope for the best and see how it goes.

I have found that wrong ZIP code packages do eventually get delivered, it just takes some extra processing time.

Fingers crossed! There’s a chance I may be able to stop into the “wrong zip” post office and give them a heads-up.

I’m happy to see reviews on this box =)

I’m Canadian and the August box will be my 4th. I love that it only comes to just over $25 (includes shipping and conversion).

Great products to try out!

this seems like a fun box, i wish the magazine was regular size though something about a small one makes me feel like a teenager 😉

This month will be my 3rd box and I love it! The boxes are so pretty and sturdy, I’m using them for my nail polish collection, they are so much fun to open! So far there have been no problems or drama with this subscription, which is what I want! Can’t wait for the August box!

Just signed up earlier this week to start with the August box. Can’t wait! (Free shipping to Canada is always a huge bonus.)
