Good to know: The books were individually wrapped (at no extra charge) and it felt like unwrapping a special gift. I think this is a nice touch, especially for a kid’s box!
You’re a Crab!: A Moody Day Book by Jenny Whitehead- $13.94 on Amazon (retail price $16.99)
This was a cute story about having days where you feel crabby, angry or mean. I think books for young children where they can read and understand about having moody, grumpy days are great. It’s nice to be able to talk through how to handle these emotions and understand they will pass. It also ends with a nice message of unconditional love.
Night Knight by Owen Davey – $14.31 on Amazon (retail price $15.99)
The text in this story is quite sparse (nice quick bedtime read – no complaints here!), but the illustrations are gorgeous. I love the dark brooding colors and unique style. The pictures really lent themselves to a nighttime read. This is one of my favorite selections from Lil Bear thus far.
Verdict: Lil’ Bear Book Club does a nice job sending quality hardcover books each month. We love that they come wrapped which makes unboxing this subscription extra fun for my kids. The retail value this month is over $28 which I’m very happy with. Adding new books to our collection each month builds our home library and delights both of my kids!
What do you think of this month’s Lil’ Bear Book Club? Would your children love unwrapping new books each month?
