The information card included a list of items in the box. I notice this month they included values.

Safemade Boxing Glove Finger Dangler – Value $5

Dangly toys on strings are always good for my crew, though this would’ve been even better if it was a bit smaller or had some feathers attached. I can never find Safemade toys online so the value is from the information card.

Leap Fashion Catnip Toy – Value $5

This is another one that’s hard to search online. What I like about it is that it’s smaller than other “kicker” or “wrestler” type toys, so my cats like it more, plus it has the fluffy tail. My kitties enjoyed this one.

kitnipbox-august-2016-dumbbell

Petzone Feathered Fun Instinct Toy – Value $5

Sneaky chased this everywhere but not a single photo ended up being worth sharing here. Feathers on the end of small toys are always a hit with my guys (and gal). I have linked to something similar and included the value from the information card.

Think Cat! Dumbbell – Value $6

The cats didn’t immediately play with this, but the reason I know it will be a success later on is that it has little rattles in the ends. So someone is going to find it in the middle of the night while I am trying to sleep and think it is the GREATEST THING EVER.

Prime Taste Duck Jerky Treats (35 g) – Value $4.99

We’ve had these before, maybe in a different flavor, and Sneaky and Madison loved them. These were popular, as well, as you can see for yourself below.

Ourpets Cosmic Catnip (0.5 oz) – Value $4

I bought some massive canister of this a year or two ago so of course I keep getting it in subscription boxes now. But, it is great for refreshing scratch pads. (I linked to something similar and used the value from the information card.)

Leap Pet Products Wobbler Mouse Toy – Value $5

All right, at first my cats didn’t care about this. And then I started sliding it around on the hardwood floor in the dining room and suddenly it was AMAZING. Monkey an Sneaky especially liked chasing it, pouncing on it, and batting it around.

Kitty photo time!

I can pretty much always get Madison to sit there with something on his head.

He liked the treats quite a lot.

Monkey had a lot of fun chasing the wobbler around the dining room.

kitnipbox-august-2016-sneaky4

At first, Sneaky didn’t really want to play.

kitnipbox-august-2016-sneaky3

She did kind of like chasing the wobbler (though not as much as Monkey did).

And here she is, doing what she does best – BITING THINGS!

Mr. Kitty did feel well enough to make an appearance for this review.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $34.99 for the August KitNipBox. I did have to rely on the information card a lot, but many of the items are hard to find online, and I appreciate not getting the same old toys all the time. I thought the gym/exercise theme was fun, and I appreciate the variety of toys – there’s something for nearly every cat in this box (it does help if you have multiple cats, though). The value is higher than the box cost, which is unusual for cat subscriptions, and this is an even better deal for multi-month subscriptions.

I’m so pleased to see Mr. Kitty up and about – with eyes open, even! My own cats even noticed me squealing upon seeing his fuzzy red head on my phone. Snuggles to him from his Missouri Fan Club : Scooter, Jasper Tudor, Bob, Tonks, and Tiny Adventure!

Mr. Kitty was born in Missouri, did you know? He came from the animal shelter in Independence. He says “hello” right back.

And, we had his follow-up visit with the ophthalmologist and he is making progress. He did quite well in the waiting room full of strange dogs, as well!
