I was so excited when I found out about this box. I've been looking for hair boxes forever, and for a while they just didn't exist! A few of them are cropping up now, but this one looked awesome because it wasn't just product - it had accessories!

This box ships bi-monthly. This is the July box, and this month the theme is Fall Necessities. Amber says that this month is all about getting you prepped for fall with full sized accessories.

EA4

Black Granite Hair Clamp - Value $12.00

This hair clamp is an exclusive to the July box. Amber says it is a combination of a hair claw and a pinch clip. To be honest with you, I have no idea how to use it. It is beautiful, and I have tried messing around with a few hairstyles, but nothing quite seems right. Do you have any ideas?

It is high quality, and seems like it will hold up quite well to regular use. I would imagine that if you found a way this worked for you, it would be a main staple - it does have an amazing grip!

EA5

Black Shell Crystal Side Comb - Value $12.00

This looks like another exclusive item for the July box. it has Swarovski crystals and gold beads adorning it, and has a beautiful shiny finish. This is another item that I'm not entirely sure how I'll use it, but I can picture it working well with a classic French Twist or the (beautiful) updated version you can find here.

Misty Brown Double Chignon Pic - Value $8.00

This double chignon pic would be a dream come true for me if it didn't fall out of my hair so easily. It is very smooth, and my hair is very fine and slippery - not a good combination. I would imagine that if your hair has texture to it, this pic would work perfectly for you! I can see it working quite well with a bun like this. If you ever need hair styling assistance, definitely head over to The Small Things Blog for some ideas!

EA6

Purple Multi Oversized Hair Clip - Value $8.00

This clip is beautiful and very sturdy. I can see this being really helpful if you are trying to grow out your bangs or if you have little wisps of hair that have a mind of their own, like me. I like to use this to clip up the little hairs that fall out of my bun in the back - it works like a charm.

Verdict: Since none of these items are listed on the Eternally in Amber site, I had to rely on the values listed in the booklet. I really do think they are quite reasonable price wise, and the value comes out to about $40.00. For the price, I think getting four luxe hair accessories is definitely worth the $6.25 that you are essentially paying for them. I loved all of the items in the box - if you have any ideas how to use that hair clamp though, I'm all ears...er...eyes!

Have you tried Eternally in Amber yet?

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

Haley, why do you say it’s only $6.25? I count $20, since there’s a $5 discount, but maybe I missed something.

It’s a subscription box like this that makes me sad that I chopped all my hair off (used to past my elbows, now it’s just barely to my chin! I donated it to Locks of love <3). Are there different types of hair accessories in each box? Like headbands, bows, barrettes? I have no use for items in this box; I don't have enough hair! However, if each box has different types of hair accessories, I could deal with a miss now & then. I'm a bit obsessed with hair bows. I buy a new one every time I'm in Hot Topic (I'm up to 28 bows in all colors & designs). So, a box of hair bows would make my day! Do they put out spoilers each month?

I love this! Always struggle to find good hair clips and end up buying yucky cheap ones because …well, because im cheap 🙁
(I can’t bring myself to pay $10-15 for a hair clip! But I always see nice ones and totally want them…then end up settling for a cheaper $3 version and breaking or losing it)
These look sooo good, plus they sell at urban outfitters, so I think I can trust the quality without having to drop in to scope them out ?

Their website however only has a few products, and they are all very similar…so hopefully I like mine a lot and don’t lose them so I won’t have to keep subscribing. With only like 20 products (not consumables) I don’t really see how this would be a good subscription…

The other down side is that i just signed up but won’t get myour box until September 🙁 ….now to patiently wait…hoping for another black + crystals accessory…but everything looks awesome!

A little sea salt or beach spray would make your hair less slippery and help hold an updo style with some of these clips. Interesting box!

Hair clamp-start with a pony, insert comb an inch or so above the base with clamp open, hold pony up and let clamp close. Fancy updo!!!

Did you spray the double chignon pin with hairspray? Once it dries enough to be at least tacky it should have enough grip for slippery hair!

Wow. It’s amazing to see all these extra sub boxes that are out on the marketplace. Wouldn’t be for me…. but nice to know there are boxes for all kinds of interests. Kudos for adding all these boxes to your subscriptions.
