EsianMall-BeautyBox-July-2016-Info2

The box includes several info cards. Each month also comes with a little tag that you can collect to win free boxes, however, I didn't see one in my box this month.

Tonymoly Egg Pore Nose Pack - $1.50 ($5 for a pack of 7)

This is a single-use nose strip that's meant to clean out pores and remove blackheads. Even though the packaging is adorable, I rarely get blackheads so I will pass it on to someone else.

Special Edition July EasianMall Necklace - $12

EsianMall switched things up a little with an exclusively designed silver-tone necklace. The pendant says "be brave." It is made by RichLoveShoppe; you can check out their other designs on Etsy!

Tonymoly I'm Real Aloe Mask - $3

This sheet mask contains watery essence and smells nice. It fits nicely and is highly moisturizing. Best of all, it doesn't make my face feel sticky after use!

Tonymoly Pocket Hair Pack - $9.78 ($3.99 at Tonymoly NY)

This intensive hair treatment provides nutrition for damaged hair ends. It is basically a mask for the ends of your hair. Simply gather your hair up, slip on the pack, and tie it to your hair with the included rubber band. I think this is supposed to be a leave-in treatment but I washed out most of the essence after 30 minutes.

Tonymoly Red Apple Hand Cream 30g - $11.99

The info card erroneously lists this as the Red Appletox Honey Cream. I actually own the 80ml Red Appletox Honey Cream and although the packaging looks similar to the hand cream, it is larger and the consistency is different.

The hand cream itself smells delicious. It has a thicker formula but leaves no residue when completely rubbed in. The apple looks adorable on my vanity to boot!

It's Skin Macaron Lip Balm - $9.99

This lip balm has adorable packaging but also works like a charm. I received the Macaron Lip Balm in Grape and it actually smells like grape. The balm looks purple in the pot but applies clear.

Verdict: I enjoyed exploring my EsianMall BeautyBox, but somehow it didn't feel exciting. The product variety is there, but in my opinion the items-- lip balm, hand cream, nose strip-- are very "safe" choices. I wouldn't mind seeing some more brand variety or more exciting skincare selections. I think one other improvement would be the monthly info card. It's important when including an info card that you do it right, especially for K-beauty since they don't always include English on their packaging. On the bright side, the total retail value is $48.26, which is nearly twice the cost of subscription.

The products are nice, and would be fun to try, but half of the box are one time use items, while another product is a non-beauty item (not too thrilling for me), while the hand cream seems like I’d only get a few uses out of it. Regardless, I thought last month’s box was cute, and I’m going to keep this on my list of boxes to keep an eye on.

Hmmm, I like the price point but I agree for now that it’s just not that exciting. I have Missy Tutii and 3b and I’m waiting for my first ever Beauteque box. If I like it, I’m cancelling the other 2. I would cancel all 3 and do this price point but I need to see more from them first.
