Degustabox includes a full breakdown of the box value wise, along with a little bit about each product. This month they also included a little extra about the aloe vera drink in the box, and a sheet with some games on it!
They also include recipes for using some of the items in the box. This month the recipes are for the White Lily All Purpose Wheat and Grape seed flour.
Oregon Chai Tea Latte Powdered Mix - $5.29
I love chai, but what I love even more than chai is a dirty chai! I made these with 2 shots of espresso and then topped it off with hot water. I really enjoyed these, and they were gone super quick.
Goya Maria Cookies - $0.99
These are a simple buttery cookie, quite similar to short bread, that is popular across Latin America and Spain. I ate a few of these alongside one of my chai lattes, and it was a delicious snack.
Goetze's Mini Cow Tails - $3.00
These Cow Tales are a caramel and cream chewy candy that have been around for ages. They are available in four flavors: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and caramel apple (I bet these are delicious!!). These candies are nut free, and made in the USA, but it looks like they do contain wheat.
White Lily White Grape Seed Enriched Flour - $7.99
At first I thought this was a gluten free flour replacement, but it looks like it is just a flour blend for flavor. I went ahead and made the bread recipe on the side of the bag, instead of the recipes included in the pamphlets, because I figured the best way to tell flavor is in something simple and uncluttered. The bread does have honey in it, so there's a slight honey flavor, but what really comes through is the taste of the grape seeds.
I am not even exaggerating - this is the best bread I have ever made or eaten, which is saying a lot. I LOVE bread, and this bread is like the epitome of what bread is.
Popchips Potato Ridges - $1.25
I really love Popchips, and I really love chips with ridges, so these are my happy place. The only thing I love more than Popchips and chips with ridges, is cheese chips. Needless to say, I'm very happy with these.
Vermont Smoke and Cure Mini Meat Snacks - Cracked Pepper and Turkey Pepperoni - $3.33
I didn't try these because I'm vegetarian, but I received the Turkey Pepperoni sticks and the Cracked Pepper meat sticks.
Loacker Rose of the Dolomite - $1.76
These chocolates are hazelnut pralines; I received the milk chocolate, or original version. I really enjoyed these! They're like a little Nutella truffle - who can say no to that?
Alo Pulp Free Drink - $1.69
This aloe drink is flavored with mangosteen and mango. I've never tried aloe drinks before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I really liked it. This tastes like the tropics in your mouth! There was no aftertaste, but it was quite sweet!
Sir Kensington's Chipotle Mayonnaise - $5.99
This mayonnaise has been the darling of several boxes lately. I don't even know how many times I've received it at this point. This mayonnaise has adobo, cumin, garlic and tomato, and is rumored to be the "perfect accompaniment to fish tacos, grilled corn, and anything that lies between two slices of bread." If you're a mayonnaise fan, I'm sure you'll love this. For me? I don't like mayonnaise, even when it's flavored with my favorite chili.
Honey Bunches of Oats with Real Strawberries - $2.83
I always enjoy Honey Bunches of Oats cereals, so I knew this would be a winner for me. If you're looking for a way to enjoy this outside of straight up with milk, I suggest a deconstructed milk shake of sorts - vanilla ice cream, this cereal, and then a bit of milk drizzled atop! I guarantee it will kick this up a notch.
Here's my mid morning snack with my Goya cookies and Oregon Chai - I think I'll do it again tomorrow!
Verdict: This is my second Degustabox, and I'm really impressed at how much they include for $19.99. The value of this box is about $34.12. It has a nice mixture of items that you're sure to get use of at some point or another. I also really like that they include both full size items and sample sizes - there's really something here for everyone!
