To accompany my coffee, I received a postcard.

It features an image of Rio de Janeiro.

Atlas Coffee Braazil Cerrado Mineiro (12 oz.)- $14.95

I’ve never tried Atlas Coffee before, so I was excited to give it a try! My first box features a Brazilian coffee grown in Alto Paranaibi, which is the highest altitude area in the Cerrado Miner growing region. The beans were grown at an altitude of 1,250 meters and are fully washed.

I love the graphic packaging that Atlas uses! It’s so pretty that I’m tempted to keep this bag out on my countertop instead of in a cabinet.

The beans look just a tad darker than the ones I usually buy, but they smell great. They have a heady, chocolate aroma with a hint of nuttiness. The smell reminds me of a mocha.

I brewed the beans using my drip coffee maker, and I think the flavor is great, too. In the cup, this coffee is rich and full, and it has a sweet finish.

Verdict: This is my first shipment from Atlas Coffee Club, and I really enjoyed my first coffee! The beans arrived fresh and the flavor was great. I also love Atlas’ packaging. I think their bag design is one of the best I’ve seen! The postcard is a nice touch, too. In terms of value, this subscription costs $17.95, and the bag I received retails for $14.95. Considering that this bag was picked out for me based on my preferences and that I’d need to pay shipping if I ordered this coffee myself, I’m happy with the value.

Their customer service is horrible. I was a subscriber and they sent me the same coffee two months in a row when it should be a “new country” coffee every month. I contacted customer service and they said they would send a new coffee out. That never happened. The first two shipments also had burlap sacks the coffee was in but then the next few shipments were missing them even though the invoice had them listed on it. When I cancelled I emailed them my issues and never heard anything from them. There are a lot better coffee subscriptions than this one IMO.

Hi Cristal – we’re so sorry to hear that this was the case! I searched for your issue / issue in our system and couldn’t find it – can you email me at [email protected] so I can personally handle this? We certainly didn’t mean to leave you hanging like that and would be happy to send you another bag on us of course for the mishap!
