WELLNESSTRIBE2016_05inside paper

Look how cute the inside of this paper is! What a fun way to celebrate summer.

This month’s theme is Summer and motto is, “The purpose of our lives is to be happy” (Dalai Lama). The box contains items to help subscribers replenish their bodies, enjoy summertime and live easy. Sounds like a good plan to me!

Each box comes with a card identifying, describing and pricing each item. Subscribers can also download the Active Wellness Tribe Guide from the Wellness Tribe blog for tips and a recipe to help embrace this month’s theme.

Hyperbiotics Pro-15 Probiotics – $48 (on sale for $25.00)

Probiotics is one of the few supplements I take even when I’m eating a healthy diet. Probiotics replenish “beneficial gut bacteria for optimal digestive and immune health.” There are lots of low quality probiotics on the market but when I did my research (here is just one article I found) this brand gets rave reviews. Plus, Hyperbiotics Pro-15 has nearly 5 stars and almost 5,000 reviews on Amazon. I’m very happy to receive a high quality probiotic in this box!

Tranzend Detox Stix – Value $11.67

Per Tranzend’s website, “Detox Stix is a 100% Plant-Based Antioxidant and Stimulant-Free Metabolic Enhancer That Upgrades Organ Health and Improves Digestive Function.” Between this and the probiotics, I should have a very healthy gut next month! I tried one today and just like they say, this tastes like lemonade – well, not the full sugar kind but definitely good enough that I think most people will like it.  An important note- I actually received 7 packets, not 6, but I just found the other packet (it fell behind the desk –oops!)

Coco Luxe Organic Coconut Oil in a Tube– $12

Just like most people, I’ve bought into the coconut oil craze. I love using it for cooking and on my skin. I’m really happy to have this because I’ve recently changed to the no-poo lifestyle (my hair isn’t frizzy anymore!) and this product will make a convenient post shower deep conditioner. There are lots of uses for coconut oil though – read more here.

C20 Sweet & Salty Coconut Chips – $3

C20 directs buyers to Amazon from their website so if you want to buy from Amazon I would trust the quality. I love sweet and salty flavors and so does my family so we will fight over these. They taste great but the downside is that they aren’t a cheap snack.

Lifeice All Natural Berry Bite Ices – $6

These little ice cubette (such a cute word, right?) are made from “filtered water, agave syrup, yumberry juice concentrate, blueberry juice concentrate, blackberry juice concentrate, coconut water concentrate, black currant concentrate, natural berry flavor, guar gum/pectin blend, citric acid.” They are really tiny but they taste good like a tiny bite of a fruit juice popsicle.

Raw Elements Eco Formula 30+ – $18.99

This sunscreen is all natural and lasts up to 80 minutes. I like using all natural sunscreens as I feel they are safe for my daughter too. Here is a list of ingredients from their website:

Active Ingredient: Non Nano Zinc Oxide 23%
Natural Ingredients: Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Green Tea, Organic Black Tea, Organic Coffee, Organic Hemp Seed Oil, Organic Cocoa Butter, All Natural Mango Butter, Organic Beeswax, All Natural Rosemary Oil Extract, All Natural Vitamin E ***All Ingredients Marked Organic Are USDA Certified Organic.

Verdict: I think this is my favorite month of Wellness Tribe so far! The probiotics alone make this a winner but I also love the Tranzend and Coco Luxe products. Wellness Tribe has consistently sent good products with most being new to me. I love that everything is natural with recognizable ingredients and I think this box would make a fun gift for yourself or for a friend into natural products. There is a lot of variation in what they send and the box is very well curated. Plus, Wellness Tribe is a consistently good value. This month’s item total is $76.66 for the price of $39.95 (plus $5.00 shipping). I’m very happy with this box!
