Washi Buff Box Subscription Box Review – June 2016

This post may contain referral/affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

Silent Poetry Arts is a crafting accessory shop on Etsy.  At the end of every month, they offer a mystery box filled with 6-9 full sized rolls of washi tape called the Washi Buff Box.  Decorative washi tape can be used in DIY arts and crafts.  You can find inspiration on Silent Poetry Arts’ Pinterest board here.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription Box: Washi Buff Box

The Cost: $13.00+shipping (my shipping cost was $2.60) or less with 3, 6 and 12 month subscriptions

The Products: $20 worth of coordinating new and classic washi tape from the Silent Poetry Arts Etsy shop.

Ships To: Worldwide

Good to Know: Washi Buff Box is mailed at the very end of the month and is intended for the next month of planning and crafting. Like many other planner subscriptions, this box is labeled as the shipping month, but it’s really for the following month. Currently, the Washi Buff Box for July is available for purchase, and it will be shipped at the end of July, for August.

Here’s a quick look at all the tapes together out of packaging. They all came individually wrapped with shrink tape.

Green Vine with Floral Transparent Washi Tape – $3.00

Unfortunately this tape is not available for individual sale in the shop. It’s really pretty and thankfully the quality in the tape itself is excellent unlike last month’s box.

Foiled Purple and Pink Florals Washi Tape – $3.50

This one is pretty and has an old-school, wild-child style to it. It’s not my favorite and it’s also not available for individual sales.

Watercolor Ombre Clouds Washi Tape –  $3.25

This is definitely one of my favorite washi tape from the June Box! I share my washi with my kiddos, and they think it’s so cool too! I wish that this one was available for repurchase.

Ice Cream Flavors Washi Tape – $2.50

We are all about ice-cream this July! The kiddos and I enjoyed adding this one to the mix. Also, not available for repurchase at this time.

Silver Tiles Transparent Skinny Washi Tape – $2.75

I didn’t think much of this tape until I unrolled it. It’s very subtle and adds just the right amount of detail. It is also unavailable for repurchase.

Red and Grey Circles Transparent Skinny Washi Tape – $2.75

This one also shouts out to the mod-era. It’s simple and will pair well with a few tapes I already have in my collection.

Verdict: This June, Washi Buff Box had an estimated retail value just under $18.00.

My personal least favorite was the purple tape and my favorite was the cloud tape. I love having a variety of wash tape for all my planner needs and have a ton of fun decorating along with the kids. Unfortunately every roll was unavailable for purchase and the subscription doesn’t come with an insert to tell us the actual product name or brand so that we can repurchase. Overall, I love the picks this month and the quality was spot on.
