This parcel is sent via USPS 2 Day Priority Mail, so it arrived in the standard USPS packaging. The box inside was anything but standard! The outer box is a nice glossy black, with a paisley inner box. It opens like a little drawer…they definitely score points for a cool box. This month there was a postcard detailing all of the items included, which is always helpful!

This month’s theme is “The Statesman.” Which is appropriate for the month of the National Conventions, I think!

Whiskers Soap Shop Orange Tobacco Shave Soap 4oz – $7.00

This is a really good sized shave soap – and it smells really nice. It lathers up nicely with a good brush, but did feel a little drying. You’ll definitely want to follow up with some good moisturizer after this!

American Trench Triple Stripe Socks – $14.50

These are really nice socks – thick and soft. The Menswear Club listed these as a value of $33.00. The bundle of three socks was $33.00, but I only received one pair. I am assuming this is just a typo! These socks are mostly cotton, with some nylon, polyester, and spandex thrown in!

Four Fifty Five Ruby Red Cufflinks – $25.00

These are very stately cufflinks. They’re not the most stylish I’ve seen, but they are nice sturdy cufflinks and match the aesthetics of the box well.

Puccini Preppy Red & Blue Stripe Tie – $14.90

This is also a very stately tie. It is a bit thicker of a tie than I normally see in this box – it’s more of a traditional tie. This would work really well with a double Windsor knot, or any other thicker style knot.

Puccini 4 Pattern Silk Pocket Square – $12.90

I think this is a really cool pocket square. I love the four patterns and the fact that depending on how you fold it, it will look like a different pocket square each time. I also really appreciate that it is 100% silk, and will work for all four seasons nicely.

Verdict: The value of this The Menswear Club box is $74.30, which really is great considering the cost of the box. This box was curated quite well, with each item coordinating to the theme of the box really nicely. The style definitely skews a bit older for this month, but I think it works really well with it being an election year without it being too ‘costume-y.’

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane…the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane…but she’s always looking for a new subscription to try!
