Info Card

The information card was pasted into the lid of the box. The products and their corresponding values were listed on the card.

Deodorant

Moody Sister Sweet Orange Deodorant (full size!) – $11.50

This is the best smelling natural deodorant I’ve ever tried! It smells like fresh squeezed oranges. I love the idea of adding a natural deodorant for a tween/teen beauty box so girls can learn about alternatives to aluminum antiperspirants. This also went on much more smoothly than some natural deodorants I’ve tried because it doesn’t contain baking soda which I find can be gritty and sometimes irritate my underarms. I think the information card included with the deodorant about making the switch to natural and how to get the best results was informative too.

Liner

Live Beautifully Blueberry Violets Lotion Bar (full size!) – $8.00

Lotion that smells like candy, I’ll take it! I’ll admit I kind of want to eat this solid lotion it smells that good. It’s very fruity and comes in a screw top, push up tube. I found it very moisturizing and I loved the chemical free ingredients list which included: cocoa butter, mango butter, shea butter, almond oil and apricot kernel oil. I found it left a bit of a greasy feeling after using so I prefer this for elbows and feet instead of my hands.

Pencil Me In Eyeliner (full size!) – $7.00

This eyeliner pencil is a beautiful dark shade of purple with a hint of shimmer and has a built in sharpener right on the cap. It stayed on well for an inexpensive eyeliner.

Wipes

La Fresh Nail Polish Remover Pads – $1.25

I like these acetone-free nail polish remover wipes. One wipe really was able to take off all ten nails worth of polish. They smell of oranges rather than chemicals! I think these are perfect for travel too.

Adama Minerals Ancient Clay Soap – $1.00

Subscribers received a small travel size bar of Adama ancient clay soap. This soap is made using Calcium Montmorillonite clay which is said to purify the skin. I like the subtle scent and it lathered up nicely as well. It didn’t leave my skin feeling dry after use.

Swatch

This is a swatch of the eyeliner pencil. My skin doesn’t look like its usual dry self and that’s because I had rubbed the solid lotion bar on the back of my hand before swatching the eyeliner.

Verdict: I’m so happy with my The Better Beauty Box this month. Every single item was a hit for me personally and I can’t say that too often for beauty boxes. I love how this box aims to introduce tweens and teens to natural beauty alternatives and isn’t heavily based on make-up. The value this month came to more than $28 which I’m happy with.

What do you think of this month’s The Better Beauty Box? Which product was your favorite?

  1. I’m not a teen but I love the concept of this box and the items included. I think that I’ll give this one a try. I like that they offer a makeup free box as well.

    • I am loving this box and I haven’t been a teen for a very long time! I hope you love it too.
