Cottonelle Fresh Care Wipes (10 count) Value $1

Several readers mentioned keeping a lot of the items from this box in their car, and I love that idea! These are going in the glove compartment for cleaning up any car messes or just cleaning my hands after pumping gas, etc.

The Bathery Bath Sponge – Value $2

This is one of those items we’re always happy to get in boxes. Super useful, and typically a staple in Target boxes!

Kleenex Facial Cleansing Wipe – Value $.40

This Kleenex facial cleansing wipe has a textured pattern on the cloth and did a good of removing makeup. It’s also alcohol-free. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was the fragrance – it is pretty scented.

Kleenex Tissues Travel Pack – Value $.50

Another great staple for the car! Who knew I’d be so excited about a box that is mostly basic staples?

Target-clean-care-box-review-skinfix

SkinFix Lip Balm – FULL SIZE! Value $5

This alone covers the cost of the box! I love the SkinFix brand – their products work really well, and they also are relatively inexpensive.

This lip balm is one of the most moisturizing formulas I’ve ever tried, too. I would definitely buy this at the full retail price if I had to!

Target-clean-care-box-review-hand-creme

SkinFix Ultra Rich Hand Cream – FULL SIZE! Value $10

Another fantastic SkinFix item!

Target-clean-care-box-review-hand

This is a rich hand cream, but it still absorbs well and doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy. It’s free of parabens, phthalates, soy, gluten, and synthetic fragrance, too. It does have a natural scent, though. It’s a refreshing cucumber, and it faded relatively quickly.

And now for the item I never thought I’d take a picture of and put on the internet…

Cottonelle Toilet Paper! Value $.50

Always useful, and if it gets me $15 worth of SkinFix items for $5 shipped, I’m always in!

Verdict: I really hope Target does more collaboration boxes like this one! It’s such a good value, and also super useful. I also hope they really increase their stock of these boxes – this one sold out in about an hour!

  1. Thanks to Liz and Target, Skinfix is one of my favorite sub box discoveries. Ingredient conscious and reasonable personal care line = big win for me! So far I tried body butter and hand cream and both are great. I prefer stick type lip balm, but I will give this one a try. My closest Target store isn’t convenient, so if anyone is interested in my coupons, I can mail it to you. I prefer to give it to someone who didn’t get this box. Please list your email below and I will contact you.

  2. Aaaaaaand someone has listed the TP for swap. 🙂

    • I saw that. About died. Why wouldn’t you use it? Why would you want to mail something that big that’s worth 50 cents? LOL!!

    • I saw that too…..*giggles*

  3. Liz,
THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything you do for reviewing beauty boxes! You really got me hooked ;). My husband my not love ya haha but I sure do and am very appreciative for keeping us in the loop these reviews/emails are the only way I can stay current on what’s going on.

****I received Both Target Boxes this month as well as the cottonelle box above. I LOVEEEE this box!!! I have never seen my son (9) and husband more excited about a toliet paper ect box haha. I mean just the full size skinfix items alone were well worth the $5! Skinfix items are awesome and I only ever became a fan threw your reviews. This box is so practical and I honestly wish I had ordered a few of them 🙁 but just greatful I even got 1 🙂 I would love and hope Target does many more of these everyday living boxes!

  4. I passed on the Target beauty boxes this time around and snagged two of these boxes. One for myself and one for my daughter.

  5. This has been my favorite box so far as I loved all the practical items for a great price. I’m waiting till the cold weather returns to use the lotion and lip balm. I really like SkinFix hand cream. I wish I would have thought to order a box for each of my co-workers to give for Christmas.

  6. I bought two because I needed a new body pouf and was about to go buy one, plus I like to have a backup. I’m not that big on SkinFix – it’s OK – and I’ll address the Kleenex wipe below, but I loved the rest! I was literally down to my last roll of toilet paper in the downstairs half bath and was making a mental list of things I needed upstairs, then the mail carrier rang my doorbell. Target saved me a trip upstairs (for the umpteenth time that day) because I could add two rolls from the boxes to my bathroom!

Weird thing, though: did anyone notice that the toilet paper rolls are really narrow? It’s like 2/3 width of a normal roll of toilet paper (including the Cottonelle rolls that I already had).

I love the flushable wipes. My kids use those a lot, especially my younger one who’s potty training, and these packages are great for my purse so that I don’t need to carry a big bag! They’re almost $2 apiece in the travel section of Target, so I was happy to see them included. Same for mini tissue packs, since boogers are a fact of life.

I was excited about the Kleenex facial wipes but was somewhat disappointed. I waited to use it until I had a full face of makeup – something that doesn’t happen that often during the summer – to test it. Usually I use a Marcelle eye makeup remover, then a Yes to Cucumbers, Pond’s, or Kirkland facial cleansing wipe. Since this Kleenex one was billed as “one step” cleansing, I figured I’d give it a go before using eye makeup remover. It took off most of my eye makeup, but I did still have to follow up with eye makeup remover to get all of the mascara. When I used my liquid exfoliator afterwards, there was still quite a bit of my tinted primer on the cotton round, so I’m not sure it did the best job of actually removing my makeup, which is not a complaint I have with my regular facial cleansing wipes (with non-eye makeup, at least). Additionally, it kind of felt like it was “grabby” on my skin, if that makes sense. It didn’t slide over my skin nice and easily like my usual facial cleansing wipes, almost like it was scrubbing my skin, but not in a good way. It wasn’t a comfortable feeling. One last thing – I couldn’t open the wipe packet without using scissors. There was no little “tear here” notch or anything to help you open it. All in all, it was not a bad product, but it was not great and sort of weird.

The box overall was an excellent value, though, for $5.

  7. Bought a box for my 23 year old daughter and one for me! Best value box and all the products are useful

  8. I think this may be my favorite box of all time! How practical?! Lots of gray travel items too, like if you go away overnight. We always have wipes in the cat or on my bag when we’re traveling. My husband loves the skinfix lotion. I got 2 boxes, basically one for me and one for my husband, and my mom got 2.

  9. I had never used SkinFix before and now I am their biggest fan! I have a really bad habit of biting at my lips (weird, I know) and this fully repairs them and makes them softer than ever! I also just graduated nursing school and constantly sanitize and wash my hands while at the hospitals so when I start my nursing job I know I’m going to use the SkinFix lotion a ton! Love the light natural scent too! A total win for me!

  10. So bummed that I missed out on this one! What a great, practical box for $5!! Hopefully I’ll be able to catch the next one!

    • I missed it twice lol…I’m bummed as well. Every item was great and you can’t beat the sizes of the SkinFix!

    • Haha, “bummed.”

  11. I got two of these boxes! I was thrilled with them! I also totally appreciate this site and the emails that alert me to these deals. Thank you so much!!!

  12. Great box!!! I will use all the items and I am happy to have more hand lotion and lip balm. Never tried skin fix before.

  13. I tried to get one both times you sent out the alerts and was too late! I love Skinfix and would love if they offered it again.

    • Same…one of the only Target boxes I’ve ever missed! Bummed!

  14. This was the best $5 that I have spent in a long time 😉 I will be using everything but the scented facial wipe (sensitive skin.)

I am so happy that I could grab one of these before they were sold out. Will DEFINITELY be looking for similar (non-beauty) Target Box offerings in the future!!

Liz, thank you so much for the notice when these went on sale – You’re the BEST!!

    • Joni,
You can always put the facial cleansing package in an extra restroom for guests, or in a zip lock bag. I do that with some of my extra samples, like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, lotion, cream etc. If you’re a crafty person, you could decorate a small box and give it as a little Thank You gift. You can also use them in your car for cleaning your hands.
      Just a few ideas. ?

  15. I got two of these boxes – one for my 70-year-old mom. It was like Christmas Day for her. She enjoyed opening it immensely. Even the TP!

    • Yay! Love it 🙂

      • I seem to miss out on Target boxes because stock has been depleted. Looks like I’ve been missing some great items. I try and order as soon as I see the notices which is the day it comes out. Oh well, I’ll keep trying.

    • I love these little anecdotes!

  16. I think it’s funny we all went ape for this TP box but nobody wants the Allure Thrills box! This box is fantastic, so glad I checked my email at the right time.

    • Lol that’s true, how funny ?

    • Definitely about practicality and price. At $5 this box was a steal and we all love great bargains 🙂 The Allure Thrills box is only a good deal if you use or want to try the majority of the items.

  17. This was by far one of the most practical and useful boxes I’m ever received and an amazing value at nealy $20 for only $5. Hope to see more like this in the future.

  18. I bought 2 of these, one for me, one for my daughter – to keep in our cars!
Minus the Skinfix items, of course. 🙂 I really LOL’d at the tissue!

Very useful box and I also hope that Target does more like this!

  19. I thought the wipes were supposed to be a substitute for toilet paper? Sometime please tell me if I’m wrong because I planned to keep them in my purse in case of those awful emergencies when a public restroom isn’t stocked with tp!

    • Yes – they work for that too! 🙂

  20. I’m glad I’m not the only one who can’t wait to clean my hands after pumping gas! I keep a container of anti-bacterial wipes in my car just for that reason.

  21. I too was thinking of keeping this kit in my car, hopefully the California heat won’t dry our wipes. I received my box yesterday and love it!

    • You might put them in a zip lock baggie, just slip the original packet into the baggie for extra help keeping them moist.

  22. I was so excited to get my box in the mail! Lip balm and hand creme are essential staples for me. Very useful indeed!
