Stitch Fix is a monthly styling subscription service. When you sign up you take a pretty in-depth survey about your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences, and then your personal stylist sends you 5 items to try once a month. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)

Each box comes with cards with styling suggestions for every piece, plus a little note from your stylist.

STITCH FIX JULY 2016 - info 2

And this is my invoice sheet. It lists the prices per item and the discount I’d receive by keeping all 5 items. With the 25% discount and my $20 styling fee factored in, this box would cost me a total of $179.50 to keep everything –$35.90 per item!

Loveapella Mallow Swing Knit Top – Cost to Keep: $44

I liked this top at first, but then I saw the asymmetrical part of the design. It was comfortable and I like the color but I just don’t think I’d reach for it.

Loveapella Hendriq Raglan Knit Top – Cost to Keep: $48

I’m not sure I really like anything about this top other than the shape. The colors and blocking of the fabrics are weird to me. It fit well, though.

41Hawthorn Montgomery Cross Front Knit Top – Cost to Keep: $48

I really love tops that are this style. I like sleeveless tops best when they have wide shoulders like this, and the wrap front is so flattering. This top will be great for nursing and maternity (someday again), so I’m pretty sure I’m keeping it. I wish the print were either smaller or had more diamonds filled in but I don’t think that’s a deal breaker.

STITCH FIX JULY 2016 - items 4

Shiraleah Jesse Crossbody Bag – Cost to Keep: $48

This bag is cute, versatile, and a good size. It has a front pocket and a wrist strap, and also a shoulder strap that came inside it that you can clip on and make it a cross-body. I like it, but I just bought a new bag! (I may have been more tempted had it been in a more fun/bold color, though.)

Market & Spruce Jakobe Knit Maxi Dress – Cost to Keep: $78

I love love this dress! I love the coverage up top and where the waist hits. The length is perfect and the pattern is cute. It’s great! It was also lined to the knee, so that was nice, and the fact that it was just to the knee meant that it was still cool/breezy.

Verdict: This was a pretty good Stitch Fix for me. It wasn’t fantastic but I loved most of it. I also really appreciate the price point – under $200 for everything.

You look so gorgeous in dark blue and royal blue.Maxi looks super cute as well as the blue shirt roo. Why can’t they make a clothing subscription box for totally broke people…. Because 200 for Box of cute cloths just isn’t happening for me in the next 5 to 10 .?

I got that 41 Hawthorne top in my April fix and it is absolutely one of my favorite tops. I’m currently nursing as well and it’s perfect for that.

I received that blue maxi dress in my last fix and I also loved it! It’s one of my new favorite go to dresses. So comfy and flattering.

I received my first Stitch Fix a couple of weeks ago and wasn’t impressed. I hate paying retail value for brands that are CONSTANTLY on sale. And I couldn’t price match because I couldn’t find the items online…anywhere.
