“You Are A Badass: How To Stop Doubting Your Greatness And Start Living An Awesome Life” – $9.40 on Amazon (retail price: $16.00)
This 254-page book is a cross between “The Secret” and a self-help guide. From Amazon:
“In this refreshingly entertaining how-to guide, bestselling author and world-traveling success coach, Jen Sincero, serves up 27 bitesized chapters full of hilariously inspiring stories, sage advice, easy exercises, and the occasional swear word, helping you to: Identify and change the self-sabotaging beliefs and behaviors that stop you from getting what you want, Create a life you totally love. And create it NOW, Make some damn money already. The kind you’ve never made before.
By the end of You Are a Badass, you’ll understand why you are how you are, how to love what you can’t change, how to change what you don’t love, and how to use The Force to kick some serious ass.”
Blue Q Pouch -$6.99
This zipper pouch is 7.25”h x 9.5”w and made from recycled materials. It’s great for storing my makeup, or organizing all those loose items that get thrown into my handbag and settle to the bottom.
A Couple of Squares Inc. Homemade Emoji Cookies – Value: $5.00
I enjoyed eating the emoji design cookies! They had a crunchy, buttery taste.
Travel Kit – Value: $10.00
This travel kit includes: ten 3ply tissues, ten mini wipes, mint lip balm and moisturizing hand cream (orange scent). I love receiving kits like these; they’re handy and essential.
Kitsch Anchors Away Hair Ties – $9.00
These hair ties are made of nylon and spandex. They are stretchy enough to wear as a bracelet in addition to a hair tie. I love the patterns, perfect to accessorize for the Fourth of July, a boating trip or any way you desire.
Mermaid Lagoon 8oz Mason Jar Candle – $12.00
This natural soy bean candle smells heavenly with a floral fragrance. The scent is not too strong and the aroma lingered in my room. The candle is adorned by twine and an anchor charm.
NCLA Nail Polish in Heart Attack– $16.00
This brand has been popping up lately, first in the June PopSugar Must Have Box and it was included in last month’s SinglesSwag Box. I love the pink and red hearts glitter, this will be lovely for a date night and or Valentine’s Day. Wear on a nude nail or play around with a color that is complimentary for you and the pink and red glitter hearts.
Extra item magnet that reads “Never settle for less than you deserve”.
Verdict: The June SinglesSwag Box had a value of $68.40 (I based the book price off Amazon). I was pleased with this month’s box and in my opinion, the contents are useful. They send a book in every box and while they are gearing the box for single women, their books at times cater to all women. While the book title and topic may not attract everyone, from what I have seen they are giving us a wide perspective that each individual can glean from. Their Instagram account is positive, uplifting and showcases their motto better than any box. This being a specifically themed subscription box geared toward single women, it’s great to have on the market and allows single women to treat themselves or their BFF. It’s refreshing to have brands in a subscription box that are not in other boxes.
