ShoeDazzle is a monthly shoes, clothing, and accessories subscription service. You can shop their merchandise like normal retail, but they have a VIP subscription that gets you better prices on everything in their store – almost everything is only $39.95 (or less) for VIPs. Every month on the first they release new styles, and you can pick any item you want, or skip that month. If you don’t pick or skip, you get charged $39.95 towards store credit for you to spend any time.

This model is similar to how Fabletics and AdoreMe work, if you’re familiar with either of those.

SHOEDAZZLE JULY 2016 - items 1

Paisley Wedges – retail: $59.95, ShoeDazzle VIP price: $9.99

So, these shoes are accidentally much higher than I was anticipating. I guess I didn’t realize they were platform? Maybe I had a micro-stroke when I ordered. I don’t know. That being said, I’ve already hit the convenient “return button” on my order history and it’s actually really simple to pick which option you want (store credit, back on your card, etc).

However I will say that they are actually pretty comfortable for how high they are, and I like the design of the leather a lot. I think they’re cute shoes!

Here’s a pic of them on. They were also a little too narrow for me, so I’ll include that when I go to review, but all in all, they seem made pretty well and the return process is easy.

Verdict: Even though this month’s shoe pick didn’t work out for me, part of me is happy to have had an experience with customer service. And my issues with the shoe weren’t about the quality or construction.

Technically, I’ve been a VIP member of theirs for several years. Sadly, I’ve had a credit sitting in my account for 2 years. They just aren’t as good as they used to be. I remember month’s I ordered more than 1 item, sometimes 3 or 4 or 5. Now I can’t even find something to use my credit on so I can cancel and be done. Granted, a part of my problem is my back has made it impossible to wear heels anymore. I have an embarrassing number of them that I look at and *sigh*.
I can’t bring myself to pay $40 for flats, even with a credit. I keep hoping a bag will come along that I need.

Platform wedges are actually quite comfortable across the board I’ve found.

Reminds me of platform shoes I wore in my teen years. If I wore these now, I’d need trainer wheels.
