Eco-Pup S’Mores Toy – Value $2.33 (?)

I couldn’t find this exact toy on the EcoPup site, so I took the value from some of their other felt toys and converted from Canadian dollars to US dollars.

Orepet Squirrel with Bell – Value $5 (?)

These toys apparently normally come attached to sticks. My cats would’ve liked this a lot more if this had been attached to a stick.

The theme this month was “camping trip” and I can see how both of these toys fit the theme. However, my cats really weren’t interested in either one.

Power Patties Freeze Dried Raw Green Beef Tripe (2 oz) – Value $7.99

These are out of stock pretty much everywhere I could even find them for sale. I am not sure I want to feed raw food to my pets, especially when it is from the intestinal tract of the cow. I have no doubt Sneaky would like to eat this, but as a biochemist I just don’t buy into the arguments from the raw food crowd. I also worry about food safety (e.g. bacterial contamination) with raw treats – my vet has specifically said NOT to feed anything raw to Mr. Kitty or Nyx, who are both immune-suppressed.

Petkin Pet Stain Wipes Citrus Scent (20 jumbo size wipes) – Value $4.99

I can’t keep enough stain removal products around. Madison has been having hairballs all over the place lately. So these should get used.

Gratuitous cat photos ahead…

Madison rubs his chin on the s’mores toy.

Monkey slaps at the squirrel toy.

Sneaky investigates the s’mores toy.

Sneaky scowls at me. She didn’t really want to play but I kept trying to get her to do something cute for a photo…

Had to get a photo of Mr. Kitty in there. Actually I think this one is pretty cute. And, um, three days later that Amazon box in the background is still in the exact same spot by the stairs. I’d better go clean up the living room and entryway…

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $20.31 for the June 2016 PetPack for cats. That is quite a bit below the cost of the subscription plus shipping. In addition, my cats weren’t really interested in the toys this month (not to mention I don’t understand why the squirrel toy didn’t come with the stick and string attached!) and I don’t want to feed the treats to them. I have heard that some people bought this from a flash sale site and if you can get it for $15-20 or less per month (including shipping), it might be all right. But I really can’t recommend this box at full price.

Did the wipes work on carpet to remove hair balls? This is an ongoing battle in my house, they move from the hardwood to the carpet every time!

i use resolve pet oxi advanced. works like a charm every time, even if the hairball has been there for days before i find it.

Of course Madison stopped having hairballs as soon as I opened this box, so I haven’t been able to test them for that yet.

What I use is this and it seems to work best if you catch the stain quickly. Also works on dog urine.

Great review & I’m with you on the raw treats. ? Love the pictures of your kitties. And we all know the reason that big Amazon box is still there is because the cats aren’t done playing with it yet. The best Cat Sub box would be just new empty boxes sent to your house once every 5 days or so, less often for single cat households. 😉 Add a couple of bags of catnip each shipment & BAM! my cats would be entertained for hours. ??…??

What with the number of subscription boxes I get, there are several empty boxes per day…
