PAMPERED MOMMY JUNE 2016 - INFO 1

Every box comes with an info card talking about that month’s box.

PAMPERED MOMMY JUNE 2016 - info 2

The flip side of that info card lists all the items featured in the box and their values, as well as a brief description of each.

PAMPERED MOMMY JUNE 2016 - items 1

All Natural Triple Chocolate Cookie Mix by Mason Jar Cookie Company – 20.2oz, value: $9.99

This cookie mix is their traditional cookie mix but with white, dark, and semi-sweet chocolate chips in it. I think PopSugar Must Have featured one of their mixes a few months ago, too. I can’t wait to make these!

Amplilash Mascara Serum & Fiber Lash Duo – value: $39?

FYI – I’m using the value listed on the info card, but I can’t find it for sale for that amount online. I did find it here for $28 and here for $49.99, so I’m using the meet-in-the-middle value Pampered Mommy provided.

Anyways, this is a mascara/fiber combo that you layer to get a falsies look built over your natural lashes. It’s a 2-step process: you put on the mascara/serum, then swipe the tiny fibers on (they come in a mascara-like tube so it’s easy – you just apply them like you would mascara). Then you coat with the mascara again to define and seal. You can even put another application of the fibers and mascara after that…

I’m familiar with products like this because there’s a few brands that have them. While I’ve never tried Younique, I’m pretty sure their mascara is the same way. But the ones I’ve used are by Too Faced (Better than False Lashes) and Tarte (Best in Faux) – they both have basically identical lash systems, too.

PAMPERED MOMMY JUNE 2016 - items 2

So, here’s a comparison of no mascara to 2 coats of this lash extension mascara. I also didn’t curl my lashes. It definitely makes a difference!

PAMPERED MOMMY JUNE 2016 - items 3

And both eyes done! This wore well and I didn’t have problems with it smudging under my eyes throughout the day. I do have to warn you about one thing though – with these types of mascara duos, the fibers definitely can fall in your eyes… Try holding a mirror lower than your face while applying these to try and prevent that. And if you wear contacts be extra careful! I don’t wear contacts and the fibers that fell bothered my eyes a little for a couple hours.

PAMPERED MOMMY JUNE 2016 - items 4

Mini MakeUp Eraser – value: $12

I’ve heard a lot of hype about this so I’m thrilled to get it in a box! It’s a 100% polyester cloth that takes off all your makeup with just warm water. I didn’t think it would work but it totally did. You need to toss it in the wash before using it the first time, FYI. I always use makeup remover wipes (and I still keep them by my bed so I never have an excuse to sleep with my makeup on), but this is a fantastic new discovery for my regular routine. I still follow with a toner and moisturizer.

Nail File - $2

I can always use an extra nail file because I can never find one when I need one. They say to toss this in your purse to have it on the go, but I prefer glass files that have cases to keep in my purse so they don’t snag or scuff anything else.

PAMPERED MOMMY JUNE 2016 - items 5

Greenleaf Candle, Bella Freesia – value: $12

This is a pretty little candle. I love florals right now and I love candles with lids, too, since they store easily!

PAMPERED MOMMY JUNE 2016 - items 6

The scent is nice, too. It’s freesia and white tea, with amber and cotton blossom notes.

Verdict: Pampered Mommy is a subscription I enjoy. I think they pick out some great items for Moms or any woman! I’m also thrilled I got a MakeUp Eraser cloth. The value comes out to $74.99 which I’m happy with!

Had to go buy the amplilash and makeup eraser. Sounds so awesome and I’m not even a mommy!
