MAMA BIRD MONTH 8 BOX - box

Mama Bird Box is a subscription box that sends items that moms need or want during pregnancy to encourage moms towards healthy, happy pregnancies. When you sign up (or send a gift) you input the mother’s due date and the box follows along with you!

This is a review of their box for 7 months (each box is designed around a specific month in your pregnancy, so the contents of these boxes stay pretty much the same, whenever you order).

MAMA BIRD MONTH 8 BOX - info 1

Inside the box is a folded card with item info and a little note to you, specific to that month of your pregnancy!

MAMA BIRD MONTH 8 BOX - info 2

Here’s the info sheet, describing the items featured.

MAMA BIRD MONTH 8 BOX - items 1

Bella B Nipple Nurture Butter – 2 oz, value: $9.99

I learned about this brand through pregnancy subscription boxes and I’m a big fan. This nipple butter is made with plant-based ingredients and is safe for your baby so you don’t have to wipe it off before nursing.

Birds & Bees Ripe & Ready Tea – 1 oz, value: $6

The name of this tea makes me cringe, but I think some Red Raspberry tea is an excellent inclusion for this box. It’s supposed to help tone your uterine muscles to help with contractions (and returning to normal after delivery), and get everything else down there ready to deliver. Bonus: lots of free-radical fighting anti-oxidants!

MAMA BIRD MONTH 8 BOX - items 2

Lafe’s Soothe Lavender & Aloe Antiperspirant– 2.5 oz, value: $6.39

Again, I love this item in this box! For those moms who are interested in switching to more natural things for the sake of their babies’ health, changing your deodorant is important! Especially if you plan to breastfeed. The aluminum in regular deodorant may be bad for, but also particularly so for your baby. This smells great and works pretty well!

Mangiacotti Pomegranate Hand Sanitizer Spray – 0.5 oz, value: $6

This is an alcohol-free hand sanitizer spray! This is a beautiful bottle of it, too. And it smells incredible – very citrus-y and floral. I like it a lot.

MAMA BIRD MONTH 8 BOX - items 3

Motherhood Quote Print – value: $6?

This print is very pretty – I love the floral design and hand lettering. The quote is nice, too.

Ring Dish – value: $8?

I chuckled when I pulled this out of the box. I was very pregnant all summer of 2015, and I definitely reached a point where I couldn’t wear them comfortably. This ring dish is so cute – the floral texture is great and the rim is painted gold.

Verdict: I’m very happy with this Mama Bird Box! I love the items they picked for a box geared for the 8th month of pregnancy. Plus they included some fantastic practical picks, too. I can definitely see how their choices help encourage happy and healthy pregnancies!  I estimated a value of about $43 for this box, which I’m happy with!
