The bag came with this information card, which included more information on the products (plus some key ingredients and/or intended effects). This is nice since most of the masks only have directions/ingredients in Korean.

Etude House Help My Finger Nail Pack – Value $1.30

This has a lot of typical lotion ingredients (glycerin, caprylic/capric triglyceride, shea butter, argan oil), some citrus extracts, and some added vitamins. My nails are in pretty bad shape so I was excited to try this. These are like individual mask packets for your fingers (there is a photo below). I am not sure I would use these again. It is kind of irritating not to be able to use your fingers for 15 minutes while these were on, and for an additional 15 minutes after that (which is how long it took me for the essence to absorb after I removed them).

Mediental Hydro Gel Essence Mask Soothing Aqua Sensor – Value $2.40

This is a hydrogel mask that comes in two pieces. As with other hydrogel masks, it was a little difficult to get to stay in place so I had to lean back (I read while I use sheet masks, can’t stand the idle time!). It is supposed to sense your skin temperature and release nutrients to different areas of your face based on the temperature. You are supposed to wear it for 30-40 minutes but it was almost dried out on my skin after 10 minutes. Maybe my skin really needed nutrients! (I am having trouble finding an English ingredients list for this one.)

A’Pieu Melon Sheet Mask – Value $1.44

This was probably my favorite mask this month, which is good since I also got it in Beauteque Mask Maven. This has a light, pleasant scent. It is supposed to be hydrating and contains melon extract and milk proteins that work together to brighten the skin. It is hard to say after one use if I am getting much brightening, but the mask fit my face very well and was definitely hydrating without leaving any sticky residue.

Skinfood Everyday Quinoa Facial Mask Sheet – Value $1.60

I was a fan of this mask as well.  The quinoa extract in this one is supposed to be good for dry, rough skin, which I don’t really have (maybe in winter?). But I found it hydrating and my skin was nice and soft afterwards. I am having trouble finding an English ingredients list for this one, as well.

Missha Cherry Blossom Sheet Mask – Value $1.53

This had a light floral scent and it contains cherry blossom extract, camellia leaf extract, and orchid extract and is supposed to be moisturizing, soothing, and brightening. I can never tell on first use whether a product is actually brightening (or almost never, anyway) but I did find it soothing and moisturizing and a really nice way to start my day (I use sheet masks before work).

Suwon Pearl Paper Sheet Mask – Value $3

The key ingredient here is pearl powder essence, which is supposed to reduce melanin (not clear if this means it is supposed to break down existing melanin or reduce melanin production…). I am not sure that, as a biochemist, I believe pearl powder would enter the skin at a layer deep enough to affect melanin production, or that I would even see much in the way of results since I am pale and stay out of the sun, but this was moisturizing and I felt there was a bit of a toning effect, as well.

SNP Beijing Opera Waterfull Mask – Value $2.50

Well, I feel slightly less silly wearing this than I do the masks with animal faces printed on them. This has coconut water, hyaluronic acid, and trehalose for moisture and skin softening. Hyaluronic acid and trehalose are carbohydrates that hang onto a lot of water molecules, so that makes sense. This is also supposed to help with both dry skin and excessive sebum (usually I think those concerns are opposite of one another…). This was oddly dry (low serum) and stiff for a sheet mask, but it didn’t dry out my skin, although the chin part wouldn’t stay stuck to my face.

Also, weirdly, the product description says: “Coconut contains 50% lauric acid which is one of the major ingredients of breast milk, and it has great effects in both consumption and application.” I am sure they mean you should, as an adult, consume and use coconut as a cosmetic ingredient as opposed to consuming and using breast milk, I just thought the wording was funny.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $13.77 for the July 2016 TutiiMask. That is more than the cost of the subscription and a better value than last month, but take it with a grain of salt – depending on where you look, you can find the same sheet masks for anywhere from $1 to $4, sometimes individually, sometimes in multipacks, sometimes coming from the US, sometimes coming from Korea, etc. I did have fun trying out this month’s masks and the A’Pieu melon one is a new favorite.
