Love with Food Deluxe Box Review + Coupon – July 2016
Love with Food is a monthly snack and food sampling subscription box. They send only natural and organic snacks and donate a meal to charity for each box sold. They offer a smaller “tasting” box with 8+ snacks per month, a “deluxe” box with 16-20 snacks per month, and a gluten free box with 10-15 gluten free snacks per month. This is a review of the deluxe box.
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Each Love with Food box comes with a brochure listing all the products. I really like that they list all the ingredients here and indicate which are vegan, gluten free, etc.
Beanitos Baked White Bean Crunch, Mac n’ Cheese Flavor (1 oz) – Value $0.47
I liked these a lot. They are sort of like “better for you” Cheetos, with some protein and fiber. The texture took a little getting used to, though I would buy these again.
Super Seedz Sea Salt Pumpkin Seeds (1 oz) – Value $0.93
I try to eat a lot of seeds – they’re full of healthful plant fats as well as protein. These are somewhat plain but overall, one of the healthier inclusions this month.
Pretzel Perfection Twice Based Pretzel Sticks in Tomato Basil (1 oz) – Value $1.25
These were interesting. There was no basil flavor at all and it turns out, it’s because there is NOT ANY BASIL in the ingredients list! They were sort of like if you coated pretzels with ketchup and then baked it to dryness. Also they were really high in sodium.
Yum Earth Sour Beans (0.7 oz) – Value $0.56
These are a Love with Food staple but I like them, and the small package size is nice – difficult to overeat that way.
Pur Mints in Peppermint Flavor (20 mints) – Value $1.89
I seriously wish I had taken these to work on the day I had the garlic naan chips (see below…).
Mini Jimmybar! in “How ‘Bout Dem Apples” (23 g) – Value $1.37
Jimmybars are also pretty common in subscription boxes. They are OK but not really anything I would seek out.
Mandy’s Rich Chocolate Cookie Thins (0.53 oz x 2) – Value $1.36
I am not normally a fan of hard, packaged cookies, but there was something about the texture of these I enjoyed. I might spend some of my points from reviews on more of these.
Trujoy Sweets Lollipops (2 count) – Value $0.44
You’ll always get a couple of smaller treats like caramels, hard candies, or lollipops in Love with Food. I think these lollipops are new to me.
Bandar Tomato Ketchup, Masala Spiced (0.35 oz) – Value $0.22
I do not like ketchup – never have. So I am saving this for my husband, for the next time we have roasted potatoes or veggie burgers or something.
Bandar Spicy Mango Chili Sauce (0.35 oz) – Value $0.23
I’m not sure what to do with this (I normally only use hot sauce on breakfast burritos, but I don’t think mango would go well with cheese and black beans and scrambled eggs…). But I will think of something eventually, I’m sure.
Luna Protein Bar in Berry Greek Yogurt (1.59 oz x 2) – Value $1.94
These were delicious – tasted like candy bars. Probably because of the 15 grams of sugar in each one. I think I will stick with Quest bars, which are MUCH lower in sugar.
Ritual Peanut and Chocolate Caffeinated Energy Snack (0.5 oz) – Value $1.33
This was a pretty standard date bar. The peanut and chocolate flavors were nice. But, these are TINY and since I am not a coffee drinker (these had caffeine equivalent to one cup of coffee), I got a little bit of a stomach ache from eating it.
Bandar Naan Chips, Garlic Flavor (1 oz x 2) – Value $3.98
First off, these were delicious. Secondly, though, I swear I could still taste the garlic 18 hours later. Never mind how much tea or gum I had or the fact that I rinsed with Listerine three times!
Pure Growth Organic Sea Salt Popcorn (0.6 oz) – Value $1.08
Pure Growth Organic White Cheddar Popcorn (0.6 oz) – Value $1.08
There’s also usually some product literature or a coupon in each Love with Food box.
Verdict: I calculated a value of about $18.13 for the July 2016 Love with Food Deluxe Box. That is actually a little above average for this subscription. If you purchase a multi-month subscription (and use code MSA20 to save $20 off an annual subscription or DELUXE10 to save 50% off your first box), it is a better value. Also, Love with Food recently increased the value of their review points (from 10 to 50 per item, unlike a certain other company that shall remain nameless that took review points away entirely) so you can get snacks for free pretty quickly in their shop. (Their review terms are pretty generous, too. You can write the reviews months after you receive the box and still get credit.)
