The information card included a list of items in the box. I noticed this month they included values.

Think Cat Catnip Pillow – Value $3

This is smaller than most tossable toys, so I think my crew will like it. (There were a lot of toys in this box and they haven’t played with all of them yet.) I took this value from the information card because I’m having trouble finding this online.

Safemade Pink Fish Crazy for Catnip Toy – Value $4

I can never find Safemade toys for sale online so this value is from the information card. Mr. Kitty enjoyed this one.

kitnipbox-july-2016-lobster

Safemade Lobster – Value $5

I think this is adorable. My cats seem to like it as well. It’s a good size for them and has an interesting mix of textures. (Value from the information card.)

Pet Zone Feathered Frenzy Instinct Toy – Value $5.06

Feathers are always a win. The texture of the cone part is also interesting, and seems pretty sturdy.

Simply Nourish Freeze Dried Chicken Cat Treats (0.6 oz) – Value $2.99

My cats like freeze dried chicken more than I thought they would. (We’ve gotten this treat before, in another cat subscription box.)

Solid Gold Indigo Moon Food Sample with Peas, Chicken, and Egg (3 oz) – Value $0.61

Solid Gold is a great natural pet food brand. My old Rottie (before Nyx) was on a Solid Gold food for many years. I am trying to get Madison to eat a bit more so I think I am going to offer this to him first.

Real Birds Play-N-Squeak “Buzz Off” from Our Pets – Value $3.99

We got this same toy in two subscription boxes this month. My cats don’t care so much about the noise it makes so much, but they do like the feathers!

Fishing for Fun Natural Feel Fish Wand – Value $7

Once again, the dangly toy on a stick was the clear winner this month. My cats just can’t get enough of toys like this! I took the value from the information card because my Google searches kept turning up fishing poles. Note: You should put toys like this away when your cat is unsupervised – wouldn’t want them to ingest or get tangled in the string part.

Madison checks out the fish on a string toy.

kitnipbox-july-2016-monkey

Monkey is skeptical.

kitnipbox-july-2016-monkey2

Haha, cats are fickle.

kitnipbox-july-2016-sneaky

Sneaky is always up for chasing something on a string.

Or for biting the stick the string is attached to (sorry for the poor lighting, my living room is quite dark).

And finally, Mr. Kitty with the pink fish toy.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $31.65 for the July KitNipBox. That is a little bit over the cost of the box. I really enjoyed the selection of toys this month and my cats thought the treats were pretty good. If you are interested in lots of handmade cat toys and/or toys that are hard to find elsewhere, KitNipBox is a good subscription to consider.

I subscribed and I got the science and technology themed box (from May, I think)… Apparently they ran out of one of the toys so I had 2 of the same toy. Worse, my cats aren’t incredibly interested in the toys, and they LOVE catnip. So, I’m not sure if they’re just not using much catnip in the toys, or if its low quality? I had to roll the toys around in my own catnip to get them going. I’ll give it one more month and do the basic box for $20 instead of the $30.

This is my favorite cat subscription box! My cats adored the bird okay and squeak that you’re cats didn’t like…they love that noise! The fishing pole was a winner too. I love that the box has a bunch of small items…with multi cats (we have 3) they don’t always have to share!

Mr Kitty’s face in the last one is crazy adorable- awww his little mouth/cheek folds! I love seeing your cats and their ‘reviews’ of the items! IDK if boxes ever include climbing items or tunnels because it would be cute to see them doing that too!

I love them too. I don’t even have a cat right now although I definitely fall into the crazy cat lady category. I was just really bored one day about two months ago and clicked on a cat box review and I’ve been hooked ever since. Don’t tell Madison and Sneaky but Monkey and Mr Kitty are my favorites. And tell Nyx (did I remember her name right?) not too worry, I’m a big fan of her too.
