kidpik is a new seasonal clothing subscription for girls. You can either choose to receive a one time trial box, 1 box per season (4 per year) or 2 boxes per season (8 per year). All the pieces are really well-made, and the designs are unique to kidpik.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

kidpik is a new subscription box for girls, but the company itself has been around for decades. I think the easiest way to think of kidpik is that it is essentially Stitch Fix for girls. kidpik designs and produces all of its own apparel and accessories.

When you sign up, they ask for your girl’s name and use it to personalize the box for her. This box was styled for my 7 ½ year old daughter and I only provided her first initial “M” as her name. My daughter was especially excited this whole box was just for her!

profile1

When you first sign up, you fill out a style profile for your girl. It is fun and easy. And accurate. If you want to see details about this, please check out our review of the Spring kidpik box. My daughter is very girly, loves dresses, likes most colors, and I rated her a 10 out of 10 on their question about how much she loves sparkles.

info1

Here is the information card that comes with the subscription box. The front is personalized with my daughter’s name again. Kids love to see their names on things.

The inside gives information on how kidpik works and a breakdown of all the items in the subscription box.

Ok, let’s see what we’ve got! (This box was styled based on our preferences so what you receive could be totally different.)

Looks interesting!

There are a few different bags.

surprise

Inside one of the bags was a gift of iron on patches that you can keep regardless of how many clothing items you decide on. Very thoughtful of kidpik. And sparkly. We are off to a great start!

The next bag is reusable as a drawstring backpack.

sandal0

Ok. I need to stop the review right here and take a second to appreciate these leather sandals. My daughter is obsessed with them and wants to wear them every day since she received her box. (And my husband had fun taking photos of them.) They are fabulous! The gold bars look like metal, but are actually flexible plastic which is perfect for kids.

Jonette Metal Gladiator sandals - Price $27.50. (Keep All Price $19.25)

Love these! Perfect for summer. They are super cute, versatile, and comfortable. I like that the bottoms have some grip to them. Everything in this box is excellent quality.

On to the next bag.

bag2

bag2.1

Glitter Braided Headwrap - Price $1.50 (Keep All Price $1.05)

More sparkle. Versatile color. I like it!

sweet_crew

Sweet Crew – Price $16.50 (Keep All Price $11.55)

This shirt is made of that lightweight weave popular right now. Great for this time of year. It also has rhinestone and ribbon embellishments on it. This shirt says RUUM on it which is made by the company behind kidpik. (My other daughter received this and the headband in the Spring box. They have almost identical profiles so I wasn’t too surprised about this and they are excited to wear them together!)

skirt

Ruffle Tier Skirt – Price $15.50 (Keep All Price $10.85)

My daughter loves this skirt! It has actually navy so I apologize that the color comes across as sort of grey here.

tank1

Lace Stripe Tank - Price $17.50 (Keep All Price $12.25)

kidpik describes the color of this tank as “patina.” To me, it looks exactly like a honeydew melon color. The top layer is pretty sheer and it comes with an attached spaghetti-strap shirt built in underneath.

tank2

Those are functioning buttons.

shorts1

Sequin Short - Price $19.50 (Keep All Price $13.65)

Your eyes are not deceiving you. These are actually the sparkliest shorts I have ever seen. Definitely 10 out of 10 on the sparkle chart. Of course, my daughter LOVES them. The button is actually a snap which is handy for kids.

shorts2

The back looks like normal denim shorts with functioning pockets.

shorts3

kidpik calls this color “mermaid wash.” I have to agree with this one!

floral_dress1

Floral Organza Dress – Price $32.50 (Keep All Price $22.75)

This is a fun dress to spin in! My daughter loves the flower pattern, too. This has an interesting fabric overlay as well.

I also like the box pleats which you don’t see often.

The kidpik box came with a coloring sheet.

basics

I also want to mention that kidpik just launched their kidpik Basics shop. This picture is actually from an email I received from them since this is so new we haven’t had a chance to try it out yet!  Per kidpik, the shop carries everyday colorful “not so basic Basics” in the same soft fabrics and quality as the items in their subscription box. Prices range from $6.50 to $17.50.

Ok, now for some pictures of the outfits on!

I love that everything in the box was a cohesive collection that works well together as mix-and-match pieces. So versatile!

Value: The grand total price for all the items in the box is $130.50 if we purchase everything separately. Considering the quality of the items, the fact that the styling service, shipping to us and any return shipping is thrown in, the time I saved not having to go out looking for these items, not to mention the free gift, I think that is a more than fair price.

If, for some reason, you don’t like the subscription box, you have one week to return it and pay nothing. Amazing.

Plus, if you keep the whole box, which we will probably always do especially since everything works so well together, you get the 30% discount so the price would be $91.35 total. I call that a deal!

Last set!

Verdict: We love kidpik so far and are very excited to see what they send next! The quality is great and my daughter loves wearing her new clothes. If you are on the fence about trying this one, give it shot.

My six year old just got her 3rd kidpik box last week, we are on the 8 times a year plan. Which is about every 6 weeks.. We love the clothes, we haven’t sent anything back yet. Everything really is great quality. We have got 3 dresses thus far and they are her favorites.
