Every box comes with an info card listing the products along with a couple of other paper slips.

Kabaya Panda Cookies

Unfortunately these chocolate-coated cookies came melted. It's not surprising since it traveled all the way from Singapore and in the scorching summer heat. The cookies were tasty but also a little messy.

Kawaii Animals Pouch

I love how the animals are labeled things like "happy monkey" or "happy duck." The pouch is large enough to store coins and some bills.

Summer Fruits Stickers

This sticker set is adorable! Each fruit has a little face on them (my favorite is the grape one). I think any one sticker is enough to cheer someone up.

Fresh Juice Fan

This is a neat folding fan to cool down the hot hot summer days. I might carry it around for when I'm outside playing Pokemon Go.

Harajuku Bow Hairpin

This is a funky hairpin! The bow is made of mesh while the colored puffballs move around if you squish them. I will gift this to my little sister.

Ice Cream Charm

This is one of my favorite ice cream charms yet! It's made of some soft, squishy material, but the best part is the elastic strap. Oftentimes the strap isn't elastic so it's hard to really attach charms to anything. This solves the problem.

Plastic Bear Bag Charm

This is a plastic bear charm with moveable limbs. I swear I've seen this type of bear before. Maybe it's a toy line?

Kawaii Animals Pocket Mirror

This compact mirror is great for quick touch-ups. However, the plastic cover feels fragile so I don't think it will survive the depths of a heavy purse.

Watermelon Purse

I love this watermelon coin purse! It's perfect for the summer.

Baby Elephant Mini Plush

This baby elephant is a little amorphous; I would have believed you if you claimed it was a baby mouse. That said, it's egg-shaped body and ball chain makes it a good candidate for decorating backpacks or keychains.

Korean Deco Glitter Set

I'm not a big fan of glitter. If it's on my eyelids then it'll irritate my contact lenses. If it's part of clothing or trinkets then it will undoubtedly transfer to other surfaces. However, I think this loose glitter will work well for nail art! There are six color options and I will attempt them for glittery nails in the future.

Pastel Pom Pom Pen

This is a very fine tip pen with a sturdy barrel and grip. I'm surprised by how much I like it! Oftentimes fine tipped pens skip a lot on paper, but this one does a fairly good job of smooth clean lines.

Verdict: June's Kawaii Box was fun to explore! I think the chocolate cookies were a bad choice for summer months, but the rest of the items were great choices. The cost breakdown is about $1.65 per item. Similar to past months, this is a great box filled with cute trinkets for kids of many ages, but you can find similar types of items in US stores for similar prices. That said, Kawaii Box delivers on unique kawaii cuteness that is tough to find in the States!

I’m interested in the designs and packaging, but I think they have to decide who this is aimed for: kids or adults? Items can be cute for big people, too! And it would be nice if they had at least one beauty item in there…since that’s what they promise.

I’m thinking the bear is a knockoff of the KidRobot bear.

Thinking objectively, this box is really silly. But feeling from the heart, this would probably be MUCH more fun to receive and open than a makeup box. I might yet pull the plug on this one. 🙂

i’ve seen that type of bear too. i think it must be a thing.

sad that your cookies came melted, they were my favorite part of the Japan Crate in May. Have to look for more of those delicious cookies!

This box seems cuter to me than last month’s box.

Glittery nails should definitely work. I would suggest dedicating a separate bottle of topcoat to them so you don’t get any glitter into your main topcoat. I usually put a thick coat of topcoat on (sometimes over a base color), let it get a tiny bit tacky, then pour glitter over. If you do this on a piece of paper/wax paper/parchment, the glitter that falls off can be put back into the container for future use. Then I let the topcoat with glitter dry and add another coat or two of topcoat to seal it in and smooth it out.

I think subscription boxes — especially international ones — don’t always think through the chocolate thing. Like, if you lived in Singapore and bought this box, it wouldn’t take long to get to you since Singapore is a very small place, so this probably wouldn’t have a chance to get too hot. Or I got some chocolate in a box from England once — the temperatures there were fine, but it was hot in Georgia. I’m sure their English customers had a lovely chocolate bar, but I had an inedible mass (even after putting it in the refrigerator for awhile).
