  1. I must be missing something. I’m thinking of skipping this month, but I can’t seem to find the link to do so in my account. Thank you for any help!

    • Proceed like you’re going to edit/customize your box, click “Next,” click “Next” again to pass through the add-ons, and you’ll then be at the confirmation page. There’s an option there to skip (under “Send to me” and “Send to a friend”).

        • You can also go straight to the where to send it page(where the skip part is) by scrolling down and clicking “edit your details”.

  4. LOVE these colors! But, unless I am reading it wrong, they have a billing policy change?

    I’ve been a maven for about 2 years. I do the 3 months prepaid option. My experience is that after I use my 3rd of the prepaid boxes, I am NOT billed again until the next box I choose. In other words, right now August is the last of my current prepaid boxes- in the past I would NOT billed for the next 3 in August; I would not be billed until I choose the next box (whenever that may be, I often skip months).

    However, this month I got this notice:

    Your prepaid Maven subscription is due for billing this month. Your credit card will be billed on the 27th of the month.

    This seems to be a new policy? This COMPLETELY precludes any Mavens from using their Jules on a box, since the site will NOT allow us to use Jules on a prepaid box.

    Is anyone else experiencing this? I did shoot them an email…

    • Did you get an answer to your question from CS? I was wondering the same.

      • I got a reply saying they have not changed their policy and they always do it like that.

        I wrote back that:
        1. That’s untrue, and I have examples of months in the past that they did not do it that way.
        2. Even if they DO auto bill every 3 months, they last billed me 5/27 which was TWO months ago, so why are they billing me on 7/27?

        I have no response from that….

        • Hey Brooke, where did this notice appear? I’ve always been under the impression they won’t charge you prepaid until you take the next box. My box this month has been paid for already but is the last of its group and at the bottom near the final total it says “(before tax and prepaid renewal)”. I’ve never noticed this and it has me stressing they’re going to charge me my box and on top of that, another prepaid sub! It didn’t say anything in the confirmation email or even on the Edit My Box page about renewing the prepaid, so I’m wondering where I can find it and if it will apply to me too.

            It says that on the ‘edit my box’ page of my account right before you hit save.

            They have returned several emails and even tried to call me which is really nice service, but we are still in a misunderstanding about this. I say what you say– we’re not billed for the next 3 boxes until we take the next (not paid for) box. But they say no, it’s always been this way. I know that to be untrue so it’s a bit frustrating.

  5. They are really beautiful this month! I got the darker pink, purple, blue and teal and the brighter is better.

  6. The August polishes are GORGEOUS in real life! I will be posting about the Julep LA Maven Meetup soon here. Julep brought them all along to the meetup. I kept the polish swatches on my nails for 2 days after even though the rainbow of colors looked a little crazy on all my nails at once. I didn’t want to take it off. Seriously.

    • Were the orange and teal holographic in real life? The blue/pink/purple look holographic, but the orange/teal look more like a shimmer with larger flecks? Regardless the teal will be mine *_*

        • Yeah, I already picked the whole collection for my box…

          (Skipping the SPF product because it has chemical sunscreens in it and I’m afraid it’ll give me a rash.)

          I was going to take the Polish Lovers Upgrade and add on the SPF product, but then I realized that for only $6 more, I could get TWS and get 4 more products! I don’t want a couple of those products, but I can always swap them.

    • Chris, is there any way you’d be able to post pictures of the polishes really soon?? I’m stuck trying to decide & seeing them on a real hand would be so helpful!

      (Even if it’s not a full post—just the pix in the forum would be great!)

  7. The nail polish colors are so pretty, especially the two on the middle and bottom left with the multicolor flecks. Though I probably have something really similar already.

    The email said they’ll start charging tax in 13 states now. (Of course one that I live in)

    I’ll probably cancel after this last month since I have too many sub boxes anyway.
